  1. Article - Next gen Maverick is very important to Ford

Agree 100%. Fun world it's becoming.
  2. Has anyone lifted and modified the suspension on the 2025 or newer CV axles, and how are they doing?

A quick search suggests nobody is really doing this on hybrids. My guess would be due to hybrids having notoriously weak CV axles, particularly early models. Not sure if Ford has changed the suspension on the hybrids. There just aren't good options for lifting a hybrid without spending a bunch...
  3. Thanks for the help

I did the same thing shortly after buying my truck. Sold my steelies to a member here on MTC. I ditched the Bronco center caps and replaced with Ford.
  4. They Are Everywhere

I was one of the very few who had a Maverick in my area. I ordered in July of 2021 and took delivery that December. I recall people looking at me like I was driving a Ferrari or some other semi-rare car. People would ask me about it all the time. Now they're everywhere. No one even glances my...
  5. If you reordered your Maverick TODAY… what trim are you picking?

Wow! I can't imagine having that much discretionary income to piss away on vehicles. Must be nice.
  6. 2026 Maverick Hybrid AWD Improvements (Slip Test)

Thanks. I was not clear on how the base AWD systems differ from EB vs Hybrid. I'll check out the link....
  7. 2026 Maverick Hybrid AWD Improvements (Slip Test)

Pardon my ignorance, but is there a difference in base (non-FX4, Tremor, etc.) AWD systems between hybrid and gas Mavericks? Am I to assume the AWD system in my '22 XL EB would perform like the "old" Maverick in the video?
  8. 2.0L ECOBOOST & HYBRID Owners: Is an occasional oil smell just a Maverick "quirk"?

I had a gas smell when I first got my '22. I ended up removing my underside shield and have no issues now. You may want to add some holes in your shield. Ford had a TSB about this back in '22. But it was for fuel smell. I've not read anyone having an oil smell.
  9. TurtleWax Ceramic Spray Coat Added Protection?

Project Farm did a test of various ceramic sprays and Turtle Wax was among the best performers at any price.
  10. Painted Tailgate Handle

Looks super nice! Where did you score the black oval BTW?
  11. Flipped Maverick.. Pontiac Mi

Nah, hit so hard the paint fell off. 😂
  12. Brake Upgrade Recommendation

Probably overkill for most, but a solid recommendation nonetheless. 👌
  13. Shudder under acceleration

I'm behind the knowledge curve on this. I thought only the hybrids had CV issues. No?
  14. Brake Upgrade Recommendation

No need to upgrade your master cylinder. Ceramic pads are very durable and create less brake dust but can be noisy. You may want to use a quality semi-metallic pad. You will have more brake dust but better bite with less noise. For rotors, you could utilize drilled or slotted or a combination...
  15. A Tale of Two U-Haul Trailers (Towing Report)

I said the Intercooler was a weak link. Not sure how you interpret otherwise. 🤔 Also, I never said the brakes were inadequate. Not sure how you interpret otherwise. 🤔 I simply mentioned I had upgraded mine.
  16. A Tale of Two U-Haul Trailers (Towing Report)

In my opinion, the weak link in the Maverick's towing capability is the Intercooler. It is simply too small. I replaced mine with Buschur's within the first few hundred miles after I purchased my truck. I also upgraded my pads and rotors.
  17. Truck icon

Pointless digital slop this next generation of car designers and buyers seem to appreciate for some reason. 🤷
  18. problems with various electronics intermittant operation

Battery could be bad. Mine was replaced under warranty. Have it tested.
  19. Sign of Possible Transmission Failure

At the very least you should check your fluid level. My trans went at 38K.
