Overall regrets? Not at all. When I first ordered our '23, I had hoped an AWD hybrid version would become available some day, and I figured would want to buy it, but NOT with these price increases. We all kinda new the Mav was priced low when it was released, and I missed out on the fantastic '22 pricing.

Where I live, AWD/4WD is superior due to harsh MN winters and a 600 foot elevation change across town. I will take FWD over RWD anyway, but will (normally) take 4WD/AWD over everything. I run dedicated snow tires in the winter on ALL my vehicles regarldess of drivetrain. but I will NOT pay significantly more just to get AWD over FWD.

As of this morning, exact build/pricing choices aren't posted yet on Ford's website, but I figure we'd be paying 8k MORE just to get AWD in an otherwise similarly configured '25. We technically can't even get exactly the config we have now anyway, as choices have obviously changed. And surprise surprise, the heated steering wheel quickly became my wife's favorite vehicle option of all time. This option was dropped on newer Mav's anyway (and she's not giving up her heated steering wheel).

I hate the lack of dash buttons on the '25, and I think the new front headlight/bumper is downright Fugly. I do think it's great that the choice on a '25 to go from FWD to AWD is barely a $700+ options upgrade and only reduces estimated MPG by 2mpg, but I am not paying that premium to go from a '23 to a '25.

So, it's a hard pass for me. I regret I didn't know about the existence of a Ford Maverick in time to order a '22 and get the best price of all. (and then probably wait 12+ months, get my order rolled into a '23, then to a '24, and not even receive it). Nevermind. Nope, no regrets!

No remorse whatsoever. FWD + good tires are perfectly capable for my limited snow driving, that seems to become more & more rare each winter. And I have no need for 4K towing.

I toyed with the idea of ordering a 2025. Until I saw that too many physical buttons were moved to touch-screen, requiring looking at a distracting screen to operate. That, and the (WTF were they thinking) fugly front end re-do were enough to throw the '25 order in the mental trash can.

Plus, my '23 is paid for. And other than recalls, has been trouble-free.

Nope, I live in wisconsin, I have a 22 XLT. Had one of the first ones in the state, now of course I se 30 a day in my travels locally, but I digress. NO issue with winter driving with FWD. I amy look at 26 for an AWD hybrid. We love this truck and are glad we got it when we did, almost 60k now.

I already sold my 23 Hybrid because I need a truck with AWD and 4k towing package to replace my F150. I need a car that does great in the snow and can also tow my small camper, so I saw the writing on the wall that I needed to sell my Maverick to get an AWD. I will be placing an order tomorrow as soon as the order banks open up.

Those that own Hybrids - will we see the "value" drop on the FWD version because people will prefer the AWD version? Do you regret buying your FWD hybrid and not waiting for the AWD that we knew was coming at some point?
NO Need for AWD . FWD gets better MPG. Only need for AWD is in Snow Country. I can always use a friends F150 if I need to tow something BIG. So towing with my Maverick truck is less than 1% so no need for an AWD unit !

Just Priced a 2025 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid that is equivalent to my current 2023 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid that I have owned only 10 months and the MSRP price has increased $4,335 or 16.15%.

MY2025 MSRP Price Increase

If I added in AWD the MSRP increases by another $2,220 to $6,555.

So absolutely no regrets owning a FWD Hybrid.

ZERO regrets. No need for AWD here in Florida, plus my ‘22 was around $7k less than today’s MSRP, as well as having several features that are no longer available.

No regrets. Like would 4K towing be nice for hypothetical use cases down the road that I don't actually have right now? Sure. But I'm also not a fan of the lack of physical buttons for a lot of things with the new interior, the dropping of the wired keypad on the door they did in '24, and I don't like the new front end as much as the original design. So as a vehicle I have to live with for what I hope to be the next decade, I am far happier with my '23 than I would be with a '25.

Also, having paid 10k less than what I would have to pay to get that AWD 4K Hybrid, I get to enjoy having already paid off my current truck than having a car payment again (which I'd have to do if I bought the new one).

(Don't get me wrong -- if I didn't already have my truck, I'd still buy this new version. I just like the one I already have more than the new one.)

Love my FWD XL Hybrid Maverick.. at 44MPG is why I purchased it the first place.
Plus it was (LOL) a Fordable price.
My only regret was I didn't order the XLT with the better looking.. cooler wheels.
Because of the Covid/chip shortage I ordered the XL..

The values will be the values, and one reason why I lease. But your specific needs (AWD, 4K towing) are simply beyond the capabilities of the current Hybrid Maverick.

While I used to live in Michigan, I now live in NC. Here, snow is rare, ice is rare, and AWD not a need for me, and not even a want. If I needed the AWD and 4K towing, I'd be looking at something else.

I know the 2025 will have an AWD hybrid...but will it tow 4,000?

I have no remorse. I bought what I needed and wanted. No need for AWD. The 4K tow would be nice to have, but no need for that either.
Word-for-word with LSChicago! My only regret: I have had my Hybrid for 15 months and just turned 6,000 miles. FOUR TIMES I have missed not having cruise control, and two of them were driving the fifteen I-70 miles to my dealer! Epilog: I had one vehicle with AWD, my Mazda Tribute , which I needed for some slippery boat ramps in Texas. So, AWD is REALLY nice to have, if you need it.

I'm not quite at 6K into my FWD Hybrid which I bought in January here in Colorado. I have zero regrets. Sure, AWD might be nice, but I've been driving FWD's for so many years throughout all of Colorado's weather that it's not necessary.

No regrets here. The MY25 AWD added safety features, added towing capacity, and pushbutton start would be nice, but I'm looking at another 4k+ over what I bought mine for earlier this year. Being retired, on a fixed income, I've got all the truck and all the financial load I need right now. Getting a nice set of all weather tires will work nicely for a truck I already like very much, and will likely keep for a while.

No need for AWD at the price they are asking.

Only regret will be when axles go out and hopefully will be in warranty. I think there is a manufacturer axle defect.
In Texas and no real need for AWD which cannot be locked in. I had to hibernate last year for maybe three days due to possibility of icy spots on roads! Bought 7y/100k on 2022 lariat due to first year concerns. Did not buy on 2022 XLT LUX but probably will add at month 34 if I do not trade. Would like to see 5y/80k factory instead of 3y/36k so I could justify trading in every 4+ years!

Perfect vehicle for me no regrets other than I wish I had purchased it sooner
