Our newest release is done!!

Introducing the Buschur Front Mount Intercooler for the Maverick 2.0 Ecoboost.

The stock FMIC is a piece of undersized garbage. Some of the highest increases in intake air temps I've seen on any production vehicle.

This is the solution for that. This intercooler is 240% larger than stock and is rated for 550 horsepower. We've CNC machined inlets/outlets so the factory plumbing can be re-used. Bolts in to existing holes so no drilling of any steel is needed.

There is quite a bit of trimming required of the plastic shielding that goes around the radiator and condenser. You can not fit anything larger in the truck without serious modifications or deletion of other factory components, like the air conditioning.

I will add to this thread with dyno and street data as we collect it.

The intercooler cores and tanks are in stock and they are CNC'ing the remainder of our order for the inlets/outlets. So these are available for order and will ship quickly. $899.

We are looking for someone who'd like one installed so we can do instructions from start to finish. Anyone interested in an intercooler with a free install you can reply below or message me.

***ADDED DATA!!!
-Doing some street testing/logging/tuning. Results are amazing.

-Full throttle 1/4 mile run, Run #1, starting Manifold Charge Air temp was 67F, dropping to 62 during the run and at the end of the 1/4 mile at 94 mph was 77 F.

-Full throttle 1/4 mile run, Run #2, starting Manifold Charge Air temp was 80F, dropping to 76 during the run and at the end of the 1/4 mile at 93 mph was 77 F.

***MORE DATA FROM PRIOR TO THE INTERCOOLER BEING ADDED!!

-On the dyno with a large fan directly on the intercooler, stock intercooler, the starting intake manifold air temps were 96 degrees and ends at 148 degrees! This was at the trucks stock boost pressure of only 16.5 psi. The higher that gets the higher the temps will climb. That is a 52 degree rise just running the truck on the dyno 1-4th gear.

Does this interact with the larger transmission cooler on the 4k tow package?
I have the 4K and FX4 package on our truck, no issues with the intercooler being added.

Looks great dave! Does this fmic necessitate the removal of the aero shutters? Does that set a cel?

The shutters are two piece, one for the radiator on the top and one lower for the intercooler. The lower section is eliminated, the sensors/control are in the top and work both the upper/lower at the same time. Removing the lower causes no issues or CEL's.

Nice and this uses the stock connectors for the charge pipes. 👍
The stock connectors are actually super nice. Typically we'd delete them but they are one of the coolest pieces on the truck.

If I had a maverick, I would buy this for sure. Hopefully one day if I get mine, I’ll be a customer.

Also restricts air flow and there is no need for a screen. Even rocks won't damage this, it's a bar and plate core. The stock one is flimsy and has no screen either.

Interesting. Bet sales skyrocket as the warranties strickle out. Maybe paint them black to blend in?
Paint also ruins the efficiency, anodizing can be done, nothing we will offer. A lot of people don't care about the warranty, modify vehicles is a great hobby, we already have orders for exhausts and intercoolers, which is awesome.
