I am in the same boat - Scheduled for 6-6 but now I am in the dark again..That's just great. My Maverick was scheduled to be built 6/6. Was hoping to get the Maverick by August. Now, who knows?

It's summer shutdown. Plants shut down for 2 weeks in the summer, and 2 weeks in the winter. This is the time when the tradesmen actually work, going in and doing maintenance, repairs and machinery replacement. Most of this can't be done while the lines are running (besides night shift, where they have limited time between afternoon shift and day shift).Unfortunately, Hermosillo plant is shut down weeks of 7/11 and 7/18. Some scheduling for week of 7/25 already happened. Other than clean-up, I think the next round of scheduling will be focused on August.
Ford doesn't give a damn about customer order inconvienence. We all have a delay order story about being inconvenienced without Ford saying a word about ones order. Ford has indicated that this BS will be their new ordering model. Engineering is great, build fine, logistics suck.....all started when the penny punches didn't hold onto the incoming contracts for chips through the origina! Days of the pandemic. Henry, your company is going to hell.Okay. Geez don't know what to believe at this point. Not trying to sound like a whiner because there are people that have been waiting a lot longer than me (Nov 1st). Just that my current car is my only car and I was offered a good amount as a trade in. So I have been trying to put as little miles as possible. I like to take day trips or drive out of state sometimes. Was going to drive down to Tennessee week after next with a friend but have canceled that as I would be putting at least another 1500 miles on my car. So pretty much all my summer plans have been put on hold basically. It is what it is I guess, but I know I will never order another car again. It's either in transit to a dealer or on a dealers lot or I don't buy it. I just don't see why all the constraints. You would think they would have multiple locations around the country or world for chips or more than one shop that can do spray in bed liners, etc.![]()
Confusing scheduling and production.I am in the same boat - Scheduled for 6-6 but now I am in the dark again..
Hopefully they can also stock up on some missing parts and chips and hit the ground running for August. It's summer shutdown. Plants shut down for 2 weeks in the summer, and 2 weeks in the winter. Who the hell wants a MY22 in October when the 23s would be out within the same timeframe? That was my understanding all along. There was a period recently where Ford was scheduling up to 5 weeks at a time, so I'm not sure why everyone is so stunned, just stunned, at the lack of scheduling the past few weeks. We've known about the plant closure, we've known production numbers for July were around 2400.. not sure what they expected. Should be full speed ahead for August and September, and hopefully the first half of October, to knock out all the MY22 trucks they can.
this. i expect they will pump a ton out after the 2wk shutdown, hope anyway. but there are people waiting almost 2 years now for their bronco thoughHopefully they can also stock up on some missing parts and chips and hit the ground running for August.
Well production on the MY23 doesn't start until late October, so deliveries would be late November.. it's close, but honestly I don't care about whether mine is a 22 or 23 as long as it is built to my specs.Who the hell wants a MY22 in October when the 23s would be out within the same timeframe?![]()
I'll gladly take one, just the way I ordered it and at MSRP with 1.9 percent financing for 60 months!Who the hell wants a MY22 in October when the 23s would be out within the same timeframe?![]()
I plan to keep my truck for many years, therefore resale value is not a consideration for me. My current Ranger will not pass smog in July without several thousand $ in repairs, so I am not concerned that it is a 22 or 23, I just need it soon. My only desire for a 23 would be if it had a 60/40 split back seat, but I can't wait that long.Who the hell wants a MY22 in October when the 23s would be out within the same timeframe?![]()
