Interesting, next week's scheduling date range is the same as this week's. On the bright side, no Bronco Sport scheduling either this week or next week, so presumably production will be more Maverick-focused during that June timeframe.
Placed order online in mid June, placed with dealer June 29, placed by dealer with Ford on 6/30. Not a word from the corp. At this rate maybe I can get a 2024 at the 2022 price. If they were really customer oriented they would offer a 20% discount because of all the aggravation.

I'm taking bets on how close to my 1 year anniversary mine shows up lol
Ford should provide a 10% discount for all orders that exceed one year from order placement to handing over of the keys. In fact should be 10% for every year of delay. At this production pace I will eventually qualify for a 50% discount on a 2028 Maverick 😃😃😃.

As somebody waiting since 3 Sep with no eta yet, I empathize with all the suffering. But I'm interested in the bigger industry picture. US OEMs are all interested in moving away from the old (expensive) sales model to the new (inexpensive) one.

The old US model was that OEMs would dump tons of inventory on dealer lots. Expensive because all that inventory has to be financed. Inefficient because somebody is guessing which builds will sell. This leads to sales lemons and bulging inventory. Which leads to discounts by the OEM and the dealer - and less profit on more cars sold (an oxymoron) for everyone.

The new US model is that OEMs stock dealers with minimal inventory beyond a few mannequins that can be test driven. The customer orders exactly what they want, and the process is theoretically hugely efficient and profitable for OEMs and dealers both (and of course, customers get exactly the options they want). This, by the way, has been the dominant European model for decades.

So assuming supply chains can return to normal, I fear the days of browsing filled dealer lots on Sunday afternoons is gone forever. Huge rebates and discounts are gone forever. I think the US OEMs and dealers have had a taste of the European system, are enjoying record profits on lower volume, and won't ever go back. It will be really interesting to see if we go back to the old ways or not.

I can imagine that as well. No real show rooms. Order and pay/finance on line. Dealer receives said vehicle takes the wrapping paper off. Prep charges already dealt with in price of vehicle. Gone will be ADM's, phony paint protection, interior protection, under coating, etching and of course the extra charge for nitrogen in your tires.

If you need service or warranty work dealer has garage services.

Maybe the dealer can turn the big showroom into a restraunt so you can have a snack and a beverage while you wait.

I totally agree!! I don't know if I'll get mine this year if they are still making June orders. I ordered Nov 15th 🤔

Ford hasn't even offered me that $100 bullshit gift card. June 10th and I'm not even scheduled. As far as I know, I'm the longest waiting in the country. The few I knew that ordered before have already been scheduled.

Personally I like this new way of buying a vehicle, other than the long wait, but it's great to order exactly the options what you want in the color you want. Instead of a salesperson trying to entice you into a vehicle that has or doesn't has options you want in color that's not your first choice, using rebates or price reduction to get you to compromise. Once the supply chain gets back up to full speed, then wait times should drop dramatically. The question will be how options will be made available. As we've seen with the Maverick the Lux packages came with options people didn't want or need. So this makes me wonder if there's going to be trim levels for each model where certain items are still standard (which I think will still be norm for a while) or will the customer be able to truly cherry pick the options they want. I think the next decade is going to be interesting as far auto manufacturing goes.

My July 6 XLT w/ Lux now has a build date (week) of 27 Jun. You may have a build date. Call (or Chat) Ford and see.
Chatted on Saturday with no change of status. Will check again later this week. What happened to scheduling for June builds? It disappeared from weekly plan.

You have to have a VIN in order to see that information. I'm not sure how he doesn't have a build week, yet has the VIN to access that information. Mine has the exact same info, but when I chatted and was given the VIN I was given a build week of 6/6.

Ford is learning some lessons and adapting better. None of us knew last yr that we would be waiting as long as we have, maybe Ford grossly underestimated that but other brands (Acura, Nissan & somewhat BMW) have not been hit as hard w chip problems or delays 6+ months long.

I personally think the worst thing Ford could do is cherry pick options, I do believe that is their #1 or #2 timeline problem. Acura & BMW have 2-3 levels of a vehicle w 2 or 3 set packages that's it. Any other options go on at the dealer or you can't get them. This does mean different levels can be $5-8k more, no cherry picking to reduce costs. I am considering an Acura RDX it comes in base, Tech, A-Spec or Advance. From there you can add either premium, sport or utility packages and anything else goes on at the dealer. Wait time on a rare Phantom Violet Pearl 🖤💜 is 2-4 weeks thru Nations dealer. Tesla is very similar w less choices though. Plus Tesla has been the 1st major manufacturer to go w/o dealerships most places. Many of these niche, in demand, manufacturers are following the same Tesla model. I saw my first Lucid Air today!!!

Dealerships are such a massive waste of $. The one I normally go to, rebuilt the entire place during 2020 expanding their huge lots and basically since then there have been about 70% less vehicles outside on those new lots 🤦🏼‍♀️

FWIW, I ordered a hood deflector from my dealer last week and it arrived yesterday.

That's pretty quick, and my dealer is a small dealer in a small town.
I took mine off the order and bought a bolt on Deflector that covers the fender as well

I agree that cherry picking options probably won't ever be a thing for long time, because it would to costly to have all the different option pieces on hand to manufacture a vehicle. It would be very hard to predict the amount of supplies to keep on hand. I think you're correct that option packages will still be offered. Ford is certainly have a learn a lot with this new ordering process, yet I would have thought after the Bronco launch and issues there, they would have learned better with Maverick. I still think that the allocation system they used needs to be tossed!

My build date is 5/30, and should arrive around june/July time. I currently drive an ML350 for doordash and uber eats, and I desperately need my hybrid order for work because of the almost triple fuel efficiency, but I'm okay with waiting, as it gives my credit score more time to improve, so its good for me in the long run to wait. But I know its not the same situation for everyone.
