Hello again MTC, I recently had to cancel my Maverick Hybrid order because Ford kept delaying the basic XL Hybrid I ordered last year (and it's still not built yet, gonna be built later this month) and I needed a car by summer. Because I ended up getting another car, I no longer need these...
The dealer, yes. Ford, absolutely not. At least I can speak for my dealer, they gave me the information as soon as they got it. Ford? They decided to delay any sort of notifications for 2-3 weeks. My truck should have been in production at the beginning of June. It's mid-July and they had it...
Its not even an SUV... I do food delivery, so realistically any car is fine. Plus the rear seats have a bunch of legroom with the front seats all the way back (which i need), more than any SUV or truck ive ever been in.
Also I'm actually glad i backed out like i did, because a week later the...
I cancelled my maverick order after it got delayed past August. That's telling me its getting rolled over, and i couldnt wait any longer. Waited already 8 months for Ford to keep delaying it further, so I instead had to get a 2013 Lexus ES 300H in spectacular condition and has leather seats plus...
Dawg im in texas and they are forcing me to pay a border hopping fee of 1500$... Honestly it better get reduced or removed given how long ive had to wait and how many delays ford had been putting on us hybrid orderers.
There have been numerous reports of paint chipping with recent ford models. Its not just the maverick. And ford even got sued over it to have it covered under warranty. Yes, it's an issue. Assuming you drive a chevrolet corvette, that might explain why you don't have paint issues. If you had a...
I highly recommend not ordering the truck with any accessories. Instead, go to the ford accessories website, find the floor liners from there, and look that part number up. I believe right now there is a 20% off sale on the ford accessories website, but if it's already gone, you can still find...
Woah I did not know that... this whole time I was arguing with my parents for choosing the "drunk driver" package, and I guess now it might have been a good call.
For a 12 gallon fill up here in TX, 4.659$ vs 4.199$, it would be 55.91$ vs 50.39$, but if premium helps enough (or even midgrade), I will get the higher grade.
4.659$ vs 4.199, comes out to ~11% higher cost. So as long as the MPG bump will be at least 11% higher (4-5MPG assuming a baseline of 40), then yeah ill get premium. However that's just for 1 gas station at that price, if prices go higher or lower, ill need a different increase in MPG to...
My Maverick is scheduled to be built in the next few days, and I have done some research, and found in the manual that Ford recommends 91 octane, but 87 octane is required. To those Hybrid XL owners (with the steel rims), what is your MPG numbers, and what grade of fuel do you use? I am trying...
What you are describing sounds like regen braking, doesn't use the physical brakes under light braking, it instead uses the electric motor in reverse to slow the car down and regain some of the electric charge.
If you absolutely *need* (and by need, i don't mean "I NEED this car as a weekend car!") this truck, i would recommend negotiating to sticker price or maybe 1-2K over sticker. Otherwise, if you can wait, wait for MY23.
