Why didn't Ford take some time between the model years and work on improving quality instead of trying to fix them after there already assembled? According to the video 2024 Maverick production ended on Friday November 8th and 2025 production began on November 11th. I'm having second doubts about taking delivery of a vehicle that was built the first week of production.
DIdn't you ask these questions in another thread already? Just pass on the truck already... you're never going to happy with it...

I'm just happy that I got a lariat. Very fortunate really.

I wouldn't be as mad about camera issues as I would about not getting my truck.

Front camera?
Yes. According to my dealer there is one in the works for the front camera at least on the Lariat. Mine has been to the shop several times this year. They have replaced everything at least once and even had Ford write a custom program for mine given the lift and semi regular loads I carry. It still faults out leaving me with no cruise control, lane keep assist, emergency braking, etc. It is really annoying especially since I need to dismiss the message every time I drive.

One of those rare occasions when getting the extra options (in this case, better camera system) was worth it. I have the Lariat FX4 like yours.

2024 doesn't have a front camera. 2025 Lariat, Tremor will have 360 camera with SYNC 4, no recall on that system.

My entire headunit went out today while backing up. I couldn’t even get it back on. It was dead. Finally, it came back on about 15mins later. I had no picture, no sound, nothing. My Mav has 600 miles on it.

If this is just a software issue they should have come up with a solution between now and September. This seems like a hardware issue in my opinion. Cheap infotainment components, not enough computing power or memory to handle the camera correctly. Ford is losing a lot of money, I can't imagine it takes this long to reprogram software unless the software engineers are finding the task too difficult due to the hardware limitations.

Guessing they are talking about the collision avoidance camera behind the top of the windshield - which all Mavericks have had, right? :)

Don't forget that initial recall was for I think all XL/XLTs built up to November 2023 and the fix they claimed (you can read the NHTSA report) was to update software to "G2,2" which was loaded on units built after Nov/2023. Then they expanded the recall to include all 24's with no fix available.

I won't be surprised if we end up with free sync3 upgrades. The sync lite belongs to cars from the early 2010's and car barely handle basic commands.

That is my hope, even though I don't want to have to deal with my dash being taken apart. I think Ford is not being upfront about if a fix is even realistic. Software updates only work if the hardware is capable of running the update. If my home pc is lagging and running slow and it is a software issue i can figure out pretty quick the cause and fix the problem. If it is slow and lagging because of slow and outdated hardware, I need to upgrade the hardware.

The same thing happened to me a few months ago.
I started the truck and I had a blank, black infotainment screen.
Down the road I pulled over, restarted the truck and everything was back to normal.
Other than some flicking and screen lag at times. It has never happened again.

Except they've officially reported it as due to a memory leak in the code which is software, not hardware related.
