OkI sometimes ask my children to ask themselves "what if everyone else here was doing what you are doing?". It drives the point home that sometimes what might seem like a small thing is actually quite selfish/pointless/annoying. Example: If every other kid in the theater shared the same self centered idea that their thought just had to be said while the movie was playing, it would be quite annoying to everyone else.
Now, maybe some people think the idea of an internet message board of tens of thousands of threads detailing each users step by step details of their truck purchase would be great. But I would guess that posts like that might be seen by many as noise that is a distraction from the signal.
Multiple, unliked, and unreplied to comments over a couple of weeks might be an indication of how the group is feeling.
