All orders already submitted with the Luxury Package will have the spray-in bedliner. They have not changed the features included in that package. They may be thinking of making the switch but until they have made order guide changes all orders with the package will have the features included on the order guide.
As always thanks you for being most of the Maverick marketing team think Ford need to comp your Maverick

Although, like many here, today I was just entertaining myself while I wait for…for ANYTHING! , I thought, "hey, I haven’t called Ford for awhile, and the factory is inop, why don’t I place another call and see what Ford has to say about my issue of not being able to get a signed buyer’s order from my dealer, who has, as far as I can tell, uploaded an unsigned buyer’s order into the ROVP. Isn’t a signed buyer’s order (according to TIM) required to activate a retail order? My call was answered rather quickly today, and the agent emphasized that she had no idea whether a buyer’s order was entered under my name, as all they can see is the sales code, the order code, and the vehicle equipment. They cannot see our names, or the email address used on the order. Interesting, but not really useful.

I then asked if my dealer could have submitted an unsigned order to activate my account, since I had heard that a signed order was a requirement. She was unable to answer. I then stated that no matter what I tried, my dealer would not/could not produce a signed buyer’s order. I asked if a dealer could submit a retail order for a customer under the dealer’s name, and not mine, and is it possible they could have submitted a dealer email address instead of mine, which the dealer has repeatedly claimed was properly submitted. Again, she didn’t have access to that info, but said that the email address, if properly-submitted and correct, should trigger an immediate email response from Ford. She suggested I talk to the general manager (from whom I’ve already received a canned email letter thanking me for being a customer).

I then dropped the big one: isn’t Ford concerned that it’s dealers are acting ethically with their customers, and following the ordering rules and processes laid out by Ford. NO! NADA! What happens between us and the dealer is entirely up to me and the dealer! Oh my! Does that sound to you like Ford doesn’t give a crap? So, today I learned that those people we talk to on the Ford help line really don’t know much of anything, and if you get too close to home they just start spouting canned responses. And after two months of wrangling with the dealer, and waiting for ANY response from Ford, I am right back where I started. In the dark, except for repeated claims from the dealer that I WILL get my truck. I’m not in a panic here.I don’t HAVE to have this vehicle, and even if I’ve blown $500 my panties won’t get into a twist. I’m just finding it fascinating at how screwed up this whole system is. The only reason I can excuse myself for playing this game is because there isn’t really any other vehicle choice available right now that checks all my boxes like the Maverick does. Hopefully, I will just wake up some time next year, after I’ve ceased thinking about the whole thing, to an email that says I am scheduled for a build.

My order was placed with Chapman Ford on 11/2 and the DORA showed a drop-in liner even though the Ford website build and price tool still shows spray-in with the Lux package. I asked and was told that the spray-in was no longer part of the Lux package. I certainly wasn't thrilled and hope it's a glitch or will revert back at some point. I'd rather have the credit and get it done locally as others have said.

What is it about the spray-in liner that makes it so hard to source? Is it a chemical that they use?

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat, although at least I do have a copy of a signed order (but have never gotten a single email or confirmation from Ford-- crickets since July 19). I thought about calling Ford directly but suspected that it would just leave me frustrated and angry. So I'm glad I didn't waste an afternoon.

I sure do wish I'd ordered my Maverick from FordVideoGuy in Kansas! What a breath of fresh air in terms of communication. Hey Ford-- do us all a favor and please put this guy in charge of ALL orders! Make him a VP or something.

And I am happy that I removed that spray-in bedliner back in September. Or at least I ASKED my dealer to remove it (and the mud flaps)... but who knows!

We all fed this monster when, against a lot of good advice, we chose to purchase a vehicle at one of the worst times in history.
I see on here that some folks agree with you, but I don't feel that way at all. I feel like, by ordering when I did, I'm going to get a truck in a few months for a lot less than people are paying for similar trucks off the lot. I'll replace my Jeep for less money than I had planned to spend, and the new truck is going to get built pretty much the way I want it.
I had heard that a signed order was a requirement.
I don't think that's right. I think a dealer can put your order in with a DORA signed by you and a copy of your drivers license. Lots of folks on here have done that and it was mentioned in some of the videos.
I then stated that no matter what I tried, my dealer would not/could not produce a signed buyer’s order.
It's hard to keep up with your situation. But, the last I read, I thought you just forgot to ask for a signed buyer's order when you went back to the dealer. Then, when you called them back, they sent you a scan of an unsigned one.

Probably I don't understand the full situation. I'm wondering:
-- Do you think you ever actually signed a buyer's order?
-- If not, did you go back to the dealer and ask them to sign one with you?
-- Did they refuse to do that? (That would make me suspicious...)

If they do that to my scheduled order with @fordvideoguy I'm gonna be pissed. I don't want, don't want a drop in liner. I don't even want it shipped with a drop in liner to produce those scratches. I'll take the thing to LineX for Christ's sake. Just produce the damn thing. If F wasn't ready to produce, then why did they even bother to list these options?

Tim did a video outlining how the purchase process worked. He stated that a signed buyer’s order was required when the dealer uploaded the order info into the ROVP. Perhaps this is not correct? Or maybe it’s a bit different for buyers who ordered over the phone. This whole experience was a learning process for me, as it probably is for most of us, and steps were missed by me. I can play my part well if I go onto the lot and make a traditional buy. When it comes to this retail order business, I’m a noob!

You are correct, looks like now that the Luxury Package with the Spray-in Bedliner is closed out and there is a second Luxury Package showing in WBDO (ordering system) with Drop-in Bedliner. Looks like if you order a Luxury Package now it will come with the Drop-in Bedliner instead of the Spray-in Bedliner.

This won't affect any current orders that show the Spray-in Bedliner on their order sheet. If your order sheet shows Spray-in Bedliner, that is what you will get.

Agree it should not have any effect on existing orders but it will save ford a day or more in production on those with drop in liners.
