dealer stated no more 2022 maverick orders

Hi I was late to the game ordering my hybrid maverick. went through Tasca Ford Seekonk Ma . I placed my order on 11/23 dealer said it wasn't an issue. I didn't believe them .After several attempt's to contact salesperson about the possibility to add keyless entry I finally got a response . Salesperson stated they couldn't fulfill my order for a 2022 and they would hold my deposit and place the order in June for a 2023 when the order bank reopens . I then Proceeded to ask if i could convert my hybrid order to an ecoboost . He said ford has closed all 2022 maverick orders . Can someone chime in ?

Your salesperson is either misinformed or is lying to you. I would recommend going to another dealer to order an EB!

You should be able to order an ecoboost but I suspect even those are nearly or are actually sold out. Production is limited to around 300k vehicles a year. If they have 200k already sold that means there is not much time to build the vehicles until the 2023 production begins.

I ordered my Maverick Ecoboost XLT FX4 Wednesday 12/15/21 and received my build date from Ford on Thursday 12/16/21.
So I don't see why you still can't order.
You should try another dealership.

Also, not sure where the 200,000 sold figure comes from. Is that the reservation count? Because only a percent of those were converted to real orders. I'd suspect the total sold is significantly less than that for MY22. It'll probably exceed that later, though.

So I don't see why you still can't order.
You should try another dealership.

I also ordered mine on 12/15/21. No build date from Ford, but I'm good with that. Mine is XL ECO, AWD, 4k tow, Spray in liner, Splash guards, full size spare. I'm hoping it takes a couple months as I'm working to finish a house for sale and plan to pay for Maverick with some of the proceeds

I hope so Timing wise from listing to sale is between 1-4 weeks around here. Then you have average of 45 days to close Escrow and actually get your $. So worst case is probably 10 weeks from the day it goes on the market to ca$h in hand to pay for my Maverick. Best case is probably 7 weeks. Got a couple more weeks left to finish before listing, but the Holiday factory shutdowns actually work in my favor here

trying this again . Went to a different dealer and placed an order for a 2022 area 51 XLT on Dec23 . Dealer said 6 to 12 weeks . I'm not going to hold my breath . Still waiting for an email from ford acknowledging my order .
