It can be done but I think the JJC kit isn’t made anymore. I just finished the install today. Not as OEM as the non FX4 option from DD, but I’ll take it. I did used F150 headlight switch with fogs and activated it all via FORSCAN.

They do look great. Should be standard on the lariat really.

Though mine has tow hooks where the lights would go.
Did you install your own tow hooks? Would love to do that for my wife’s Maverick.

One of the coolest perks is the daytime running lights that are an amber looking square in the background on them during the day.

Thought I’d post the before and after pictures. The kit is truly 2-3 hours to install. I could not be happier..

The kit could pass for a factory option.

Well worth the price.

I agree! Where'd you get them? How much?

I agree 100%. In fact, I say they look better than the OEM attempt with the new Lobo.

The way the light surround has the parallel lines splitting detail that matches the rear bumper exactly is as OEM as you can get. If someone told me that DD was going to be the supplier for Ford's lights originally, I wouldn't doubt it.

If you really want to go next level, run the wiring to the BCM and install the Ford headlight switch with the foglight control on it. Works exactly as OEM and even shows the indicator in the instrument cluster.

I have the lights, I have the Ford switch. I remember a thread here with the “how-to” but don’t remember who posted it. Am I right in remembering that an extra pin or two needs to be inserted into one of the connectors?

Yes. There are a couple ways to do it, but essentially run one or two wires to the BCM, which requires contacts added, and activate in Forscan. Should be able to find a big thread with pics and info in the search.

I love the look of them and thinking of doing that myself, but my only concern is with a great Ford company, giving us a problem if we ever have electrical issues and they blame us for tapping into the wiring

I typically disconnect any aux power and inline taps prior to dropping off for service. Plausible deniability.

You can use inline harnesses like these so you don't have to cut into the original wiring. I haven't used these specific harnesses, but the idea is sound.
