I received my @Diode Dynamics fog lights last weekend but just barely had time to install them.

Install was a piece of cake and took me about 4 hours. The video instructions are exceptional.

HIGHLY recommend this upgrade for all Maverick owners. Light output is fantastic. It took a little creativity to get the light where I wanted it because I'm so low, but man does it light up my street!

Definitely phone a friend to help you hold the bumper. I thought, "I'm a bad ass, I can do it." The bumper promptly got away from me and this lip tore. Auto body grade exopy to the rescue.

My multi-tool worked GREAT for making straight cuts and tight corners.

Headlights and fogs lights on.

Headlights on, fog lights off. Fogs have a neat ambient marker light built in when they're switched off.

Fog lights "off" with ambient light.

You have to completely dismantle the front end to install fog lights
No thanks ain’t gonna do that to my baby
By the looks of my truck you may imagine removing my front bumper and grill is no big deal to me. 🤷‍♂️

It's 16 bolts, 6 screws and 25 minutes of your day. Putting it back on is about 15 minutes. I would think cutting holes in your baby's bumper would be a more daunting task.

This is probably one the easier things I've done to my Maverick, but well worth it.

Totally agree it’s worth it.

I did mine yesterday. The hardest part is running the wiring neatly and making it look clean in the engine bay.

Nice write-up! How low are you sitting and anything special you need to do for proper adjustment? I'm on the Eibach kit so might not have as much issue but would be good to know if extra steps are involved.

Edit: Kit came in last week and now I'm waiting on a day off (next Friday maybe?) to to do the install.

I took advantage of the good weather to install the fog lights. Rain over the next few days but I can finish the wiring now that the major part is done. It really isn’t hard to do.

I’m doing the install similar to Antonio - @Vtec87pr1 using his idea to use the F150 fog light switch and powering from the BCM to the trigger wire.

I saw in Forscan that there is an option to have the fog lights for cornering so now I’m figuring out how to effectively wire for that option if possible.

You need an 8" Phillips screwdriver. I've never measured how low I am but getting an 8" screwdriver under the front bumper isn't possible. You shouldn't have an issue with Eibach springs.

I put mine on my lift to get access, but as you can imagine alignment took several attempts on and off of the lift to get it dialed in.

I installed my kit too.....I just wish there was a way to shut the fog lights off with the high beams on. In most states, mine included, it's actually illegal for your fog lights to be on with the high beams, otherwise a great kit. I did use a smaller 12 mm lighted switch, not the big one that DD sent in the kit.

I thought I had read that the kit was supposed to only work with low beams, but mine work with high and low. You could always build a quick relay to disable the brights... actually, that may be the red "disable" wire they indicated in the directions.

Hopefully I can figure out how to make the cornering function work.

I'm not usually a fan of lowered trucks but I have to say, this looks fantastic! Great color choice by the way! The truck looks so much cleaner with everything body colored. The foglights are a nice touch. I wonder if Ford will eventually add them from the factory. Maybe for the 25 refresh or second generation at the end of the decade. Only time will tell but no biggie. I also like your two-tone 90s Yukon in the background (y)
