I always thought Tom Brokaw had the greatest description of the "silent generation". He called them the "greatest generation". For starters, they fought and won WWII.

Edit - I was corrected on this. Got my generations slightly wrong. I was thinking of my dad, who liked me joined the paratroopers at 17 1/2. But I think he was born in 1924 - just in time to make the Battle of the Bulge.

Except that it wasn't. That was the generation before them the greatest Generation. Most charts show up to 1927 as the greatest generation. That means the youngest Greatest generation person was 18 when the war ended. Silent Generation were kids in ww2.

It's too bad the poll doesn't allow one account to cast more than one vote. I am a Boomer and have a 2023 Maverick XLT EB AWD. My daughter has our 2024 Maverick XL Hybrid while my son owns a 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid. Both kids would add two votes to Gen-Z.

They won't join - they have no interest in the MTC. Yet, I think they provide interesting data points.

I disagree with being grouped with Millennials. I was born early in the Reagan years but have nothing in common with that generation. I prefer Pre-Millennial: someone who knows how to use a computer but didn't have one in my home until I was a teenager.
