Yesterday, while reversing my 2022 Maverick, I scraped the left pillar. How much do you think it will cost to repair this kind of damage? Thanks.

That's a lot of damage that doesn't show when the plastic parts flip back into close to the correct position. I'm surprised that your door still opens properly. Fender, bumper, maybe the front grille, inner fender, maybe a tire, probable headlight, paint, frame check/fix for out-of-square, probable wheel alignment, probable headlight alignment, possible transmission output bearing damage, and body and paint labour costs. That anywhere from $3k to $10k depending on what else they find when its torn down.

With new fender and painted part of bumper cover , $3k at low end $4 k average.
$2500 if you find a friend for the parts install.

The reason you had this damage, was because the Co-Pilot 360 on the Maverick doesn't have sensors on the front of the truck. I posted a message in this forum early in 2022 when I received my fully loaded Lariat, why doesn't it have front sensors like other Fords. Should be called Co-Pilot "180". My friend and I who ordered identical trucks (except color) both have scratches on our front bumper covers, because we can't see low objects when parking.

Absolutely not. This is 100% the driver's fault and forward sensors would not help.

I have forward park assist sensors on my Bronco. They help you pull forward when parking, they will alert on tall curbs, light poles, etc.

Forward sensors would not do anything about a reversing and cutting the wheel too soon / too sharp or just generally screwing up.
