Thanks guys! I have a total of 3 fobs and the touch pad on the door. The touch pad is less than a year old and hasn’t been used very often. It also worked until the 3rd key fob was added, so I suspect the touch pad battery isn’t the problem.
Also, I don’t think “anti scan mode” is the issue...
“If you're a '23 (or '22), just memorize the keypad code, or set a personal code, should you accidentally lock the doors with the keys inside the truck.”
I have the factory keypad code memorized. The problem is that the keypad doesn’t recognize the code.
I solved this problem by having a keyless entry door keypad installed by my dealer. Unfortunately, when I added a third keyfob, something happened to cause the keypad to quit working. When I enter the code (set by the factory) a red light flashes on the keypad, and the door doesn’t unlock. Is...
“So for you '24 owners, is your dash a cacophony of rattles and buzzes?”
My 2024 has an annoying rattle from the dashboard on the driver side. And pretty annoying wind noise from the driver’s door weatherstripping.
I was unloading several 5 gallon buckets of paint from the bed of my 2024 Maverick at a rent house I’m working on today. I had taken the key out of the ignition and shut the door, being careful not to lock the door, since I left the key in the console next to my phone. About halfway through...
Pro tip: buy self adhesive fake fender vents at Walmart for around $15, if you want fake fender vents. I couldn’t get Auto Zone’s website to cooperate. Ebay has several styles available too.
“But hit a deer with that attached to the Maverick sheet metal and you will have a LOT of work to do to the front end.....”
Yes, but hit a deer without that attached to the Maverick and you will also have a lot of work to do to the front end.
I’d talk to management at that dealership about the outright FRAUD they have committed with the bedliner, and about the rest of that bogus, overpriced crap, and if they don’t remove the charge, or refund for them, post this picture and your story on Facebook so the citizens of your area can be...
I purchased a Maverick from a dealer 800 miles away to avoid having to pay for all those types of useless add-on dealer profit enhancements. Or “market adjustments”. I don’t accept that kind of BS from them. You have to be willing to walk away. Unfortunately there currently are numerous...
“The Maverick is such a great vehicle, but it still needs to be reliable.”
This, exactly. I live 65 miles from the nearest Ford Dealer. I’m in a remote, low population area of west Texas where if your truck quits, stranding you on the road, it can be more than an inconvenience. If I can’t...
