Not reasonably priced. They go for more used than brand new. I've been watching off and on, more so off as time passes but mine is only cosmetic damage.

If you were hit hard enough that it compressed the frame member, then that was not a small hit. It's totalled. A full-full-frame truck would most likely also be totaled for the same reason. If not, I sure wouldn't want to drive it crabbing down the road and wearing tires weirdly for the rest of its life.

After 3 months of owning my third Maverick I was rear ended at a stoplight. There have been quite a few threads showing similar damage but I thought I would give you the breakdown in costs I was given. The little truck did its job and I had zero pain or soreness.

First, the damage.

• It has a small softball sized dent in the rear bumper. Scratches are honestly minimal, but it is a Lobo so paint would be required.
• The frame experienced bending right at the flex point.

Next, the costs.

• Parts = $16,900
• Labor = $8,275
• Material = $750
• Total costs = $25,925 + $1050 just because

Lastly, Insurance decision.

• Totaled
• Insurance payout value = $42125

I wish this didn't happen, but I'm happy all things considered. After owning 3 and driving many more, the 2025 Lobo was absolutely my favorite, but at this point I'm not really sure I want a fourth one.


I hope all of this is insightful to someone.

wow...totaled because of the unibody...that's pretty terrible. No real design 'fix' likely possible but maybe Ford can beef up it's tail light lighting to make it more obvious that the truck is stopped/stopping. Now I'm thinking maybe I need to upgrade my insurance to 'replacement coverage' as the older models were bought cheap and now they're 50 percent more.

That's the rarest colour available. Unlikely to get a direct colour replacement. Good news any 2025+ will fit.
