“Bumped my Mav a few times”?
What…….She missed the first few times?
Try, try again?
I know... there were other scratches, but this was the only dent. Thank God I had a couple of witnesses that documented the incident before she drove off.

Well here we go AGAIN!!!
In nearly 50 years of driving, I have never suffered damage in a parking lot & now I'm on my 2nd in the same year on my FE Maverick Hybrid. This one occurred at a Home Depot parking lot, but this time not only did I have a witness (with pics)...I also had a note from the driver admitting fault. The last one was taken care of by "Hartford Insurance" & they were amazing! This time it will be "Geico Insurance". Geico has already (1 day) accepted full responsibility for the accident on 10/17/24, so we'll see how well or not they perform to their responsibility. BTW, I'm also a Geico client for many years.

For those that didn't read my previous posts on the same topic back in February I had my repairs performed at Tuttle-Click Ford Irvine (TCF) and they did a GREAT job. This time I'm less than 2 weeks from moving to Boise Idaho, so I will be getting this repaired in a new state that I've never even visited. I've started doing my research, made some calls, talked with some shops and it looks like my leading candidate is "Lithia Ford Boise". They have already emailed me with contacts for the "Body & Paint" manager & the "Service" Director Rhett Sheeder. Rhett replied the very next morning letting me know that I will be taken care of; when I move to Boise and provided me a specific person to contact to meet my needs. I thought this was a good start...

Does anyone have personal experience with this Dealership?

Quick update:
Geico has sent a number of emails to basically let me know I'm taken care of, and I have a specific Adjuster Dinah B. (coincidentally she actually lives near Boise). We had a very friendly conversation today & she provided the initial Quote of $3,400 for repair, so I can start scheduling service. She also authorized car rental for the duration of the repair. She had to make changes to specific things due to my situation of moving to a new state. These are mostly logistical due to location, address changes and timing due to moving.

At this point Geico is performing very well and I feel that they have my BACK!

Final Update:
I completed my move to Idaho, and I checked out the Lithia Ford Paint & Body. It's a large dealership with the body shop in its own building at one end of the lot. They suggested to schedule repairs post-Thanksgiving to avoid holiday delays. I dropped-off Dec 2nd and picked-up Dec 12th with Enterprise delivering & picking-up a Hyundai Kona SUV to the dealership for me (total $431 to Geico). The communication / relationship between Lithia & Geico was seamless and required minimal from me. Repair cost was $5,113.71 which was due to the replacement of the rear door (Geico immediately approved). The driver's door was repaired, and the rear quarter panel was re-painted to paint match. They re-attached my tonneau cover & bed lights and when I noticed it was slightly off alignment, they quickly took care of it to my satisfaction.

My final thoughts... This was one of the easiest, most Coopertive, seamless and professional insurance claims / repairs that I could have imagined and was the way anyone of us would want or expect!

I think I'm agreeing with you, but it looks so good on sunny days!

What really gets me is that both times it's just sitting in the parking lot and the car next to me backs out causing so much damage!!!

Thanks for the nice comment.

Must be different than the f150s, and use a different radar frequency. Because radar I am used too reflects. Learned something, thanks.
No not different. Where does the F150 have plastic in the back that the radar unit could be hidden behind? Bumper is metal, quarter is metal.

F-150s have it integrated into the taillight assembly.

I know, read the post I quoted. Has nothing to do with the type of radar. The F150 and ranger have the radar in the tail housing because there's no plastic in the rear to hide it behind, but it's the same type nothing special.

I had recently posted my repair from minor damage caused at a parking lot. An elderly lady bumped my Mav a few times and slightly dented / scratched my First Edition Rapid Red. My Ford dealer has a very reputable collision department and quoted my repair at $3K and 6 days. Her insurance covered everything including the rental and my dealer performed the repair to perfection. The high cost was b/c they had to do both the rear quarter panel and back door (paint) to ensure a consistent blend / match.

Elderly people should stay at home
