Thanks for pointing out that the clicking is a normal part of the Maverick hybrid. I’ve been reading the posts on this MTC i think for tw
I have an Eco boost and that clicks too. Maybe not as much as a Hybrid but first car I ever had that does this.

I now keep my fob in a faraday pouch while my Mav sits in my driveway. Ford replaced my battery a few weeks ago, so we will see.

Update : I went to the dealership and told them about the battery drain and they installed this under warranty . I’ll see if this new battery is different .

Ford replaced mine with this identical battery a few weeks ago, we shall see.

Normally Johnson Controls manufacturers good quality batteries...I think Ford received a a bad batch from Johnson Controls...I am making an educated guess here...

It did , but for the hell of it I took it to the dealership and told them what happened with turning off the connectivity etc . They did my recall of the dash lights and decided on their own to replace the battery while doing the recall stuff . I didn’t think it needed it but maybe they were trying to do something to appease me . Or maybe they realize the factory battery is not good . I see where many have complained about the cheap tires in the XL and XLT . They don’t do that on the Lariat . They get Michelin’s . I wonder if they get a better battery too . I’ll see how the new battery does ,

My Lariat EB had a EFB type battery because due to a part shortage of AGM batteries. I just replaced my EFB type of battery with a AGM battery. Along with changing the battery charge level with ForScan, I do not have any more battery issues. :)

3 part question.

Where in Forscan do you change this? Mine shows in Forscan as an AGM but I’m quite sure it’s a flooded battery.

What did you change the battery charge level to?

What would it be for a flooded battery?

Affecting multiple production years worth of vehicles is more than just "a bad batch".

I have solved my battery drain issue by going to the Ford Pass App on the Touchscreen and turning off connectivity . I turned off automatic updates , Wi-Fi and toggled off insurance data . I deleted my ford app on my phone . Now it’s not searching for my Wi-Fi signal parked in my garage . It’s not gathering info for my insurance company to use against me in court if I have an accident . It’s not refreshing to find a nearby ford dealer or my location if I want to navigate somewhere . I don’t need the fordpass app to tell my tire pressure or any other info , because all I have to do is look at the dash settings for that . All these things were draining my battery when the truck was off . Also no clicking noises now when it’s off . Try it if you are having the issue . Of course it could be a defective battery or the module that controls connectivity in the truck to the app . Ford may not have not told anyone this because they want to keep you connected to the app which is not necessary .
Hello that’s great you found the draw 👍 I’m looking for the insurance company tracking switch.I have found other info on the net that insurance companies use nexislexis to handle tracking for 7 years back. Sorry just came across your post about the tracking tks VP

You can change the battery level in the BMC (see the master list for ForScan changes in. the ForScan threads). I changed my setting from 80% to 95%. You can make this change for any type of battery. Good luck!

May I ask which production years and which vehicles?

Owners of 22MY, 23MY, and 24MY Mavericks have all reported issues with deep sleep and even upon replacement batteries. So unless Ford has a mountainous stockpile of batteries produced from the same run that they've been pulling from it's hardly an isolated batch.

The FORD OEM Michelin's are primacy line (primacy line is the OEM series for all manufacturers, Michelin web site shows that primacy line Toyotas in same size can be substituted for the maverick ones) and are made to Ford's specs with 8/32" tread and have 45k expected tread wear. Michelin web site says to check tread and rotate when different wear is seen expected at 4k-6k mile interval. The new model of Defender 2 Michelins with 90k tread wear can be used when needed.
