So, it is grand that we know what is happening with when the hybrids will be available. But did no one else notice the press release says if you want a 2022 HYBRID, orders will be full by November. Still plenty of Ecoboost models available. Call me crazy, but it seems like if you sell out of what customers want, you should plan to make more next time. I wonder if Ford will produce 65% hybrid and 35% Ecoboost for 2023.

I have had several dealers tell me over 6 months wait, a few said they have no idea how long the wait could be for a hybrid. A few said up to a year. This is why I have not ordered. I’ll wait and see what else is out there or coming soon by 2022 or 23 in terms of hybrids.
I am sure glad I didn't listen to what dealers said as my Hybrid Maverick XLT order on 8/23 is being built the week of 11/15. Since I am in Texas and close to Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant my order will hopefully be one of the first delivered.

Whine whine whine. So what? Don't you every have anything positive to add? Considering that, I'm surprised you're buying one.

Once all 2022 Maverick Hybrids have been reserved, ordering for Maverick Hybrid will close until reopening next summer.
Ok, so does "next summer" mean summer of 2022 or 2023? Is summer 2022 "this" summer or the "next" summer that will occur?

Assuming they mean summer of 2022, that should mean everyone that has currently ordered a Maverick as of November should have it in their driveway by June/July I would guess.

Pretty sure that means 2022.

Okay, I'll go on record with this article. The Window sticker posted yesterday was NOT BS like I thought it was. So I was wrong.

Please don't take this as I'm happy with the MPG's shown, I'm just stating I was wrong and I stand corrected.

Thanks Ford for making it official. Now how about a build date?????

That’s a good point. The Hybrids are assembled in Mexico, in the same plant as some other models. The Ecoboost is assembled in Ohio - or is it just the engine - so it seems the Mexico plant has capacity issues. Hopefully they start making the hybrid in another plant, but that would only happen for the next model year, I would think.

All Mavericks, regardless of configuration, are assembled in Mexico. I believe someone posted in another thread their their ecoboost engine was assembled in Spain.

My understanding is VINs are assigned to plant production, not model production.

So at Hermosillo a Maverick might have a VIN of 123456, a Bronco of 123457, another at 123458, then a Maveirick at 123459, etc.
Yes but the REST of the vin is different. He was right. Your last five are the order they are SUPPOSED to be built in.

Rumor is the Ford Ranger for 2023 will have a plugin hybrid model.

Regarding EPA's estimate of the mpg....mpg varies greatly among drivers. For me, I always get higher mpg that the estimate by the EPA. Last night I just filled my 2013 Mazda AWD CX-5 with gas and calculated my mpg at 27.4 (all in town driving). EPA estimates 25 mpg as a new vehicle.
