Same here. My first-gen Mazda3 was EPA rated for 22/29 and I got around 27-28 tank averages (hand calculated), but I attribute that to most of my commute at the time being 55mph 2-lane roads.25 MPG for a small truck with AWD and TOWING etc is just fine by me.
I remember thinking back then when I bought the car (2007ish?) that I just wanted a fuel-efficient 4x4 truck. Now to see the Maverick get the same fuel economy as that little FWD hatchback and have some creature comforts is a wish come true!
