I am one of the lucky one who got scheduled early for my 2023 order. I was able to see the window sticker for the first time today and noticed that the EPA city mileage has gone from 42 to 40. Has anyone else noticed this/ what the cause might be?

Oh.... That is interesting. Also interesting that the combined stayed the same.

Ya I posted that earlier. Members thought it’s just a readjustment of how they test the mileage since the trucks are identical to last year. I thought maybe my order had more weight.

Could be right. I dont see anything published on fuel economy .gov for the 2023. Also could be rounding that caused the combined not to change.

Possible that they're returning to their original estimate, since it hasn't been officially tested by the government this year?

You would think if something changed in the calculation their marketing department would be putting out an explanation. Even with less efficient tires I am seeing better numbers than advertised in non-ideal conditions and the 4K tow package. I also leave my bed rack on all the time and it whistles a bit.

Numbers for MPG are not even posted on the Ford web site yet.

That could be a "preliminary / provisional" window sticker. May not be real.

Really? What octane are you using? What mode are you driving in?

I’ve had a hybrid XL, traded it in for a hybrid XLT, then traded it in for a hybrid Lariat. They are all getting around 42.5 mpg mainly in city driving. I don’t do too much highway driving. I use eco mode almost all the time and 87 octane every time.
