Bronco sport hood insulation fits maverick?

I was recently watching a comparison video on a maverick vs Santa Cruz, the reviewer stated that you can fit a bronco sport hood insulation pad onto a maverick. Has anyone tried that, and does it work? Video link here: around 10 minute mark:

Wow, I’m surprised, Ive read several threads about it with the bronco one where they say it does not fit that well and others with sound mat generic stuff that have stuck it on , keep searching

I was able to find some information thanks! Must’ve been a phone glitch or something when I tried searching earlier. Now I’m on the hunt for the elusive engine cover haha. Odd thing to be discontinued after being used up to 2021 on several vehicles.

Lots on the engine cover too, lincoln and escape.

The escape one is supposedly discontinued from ford, which is why I said what I said about being impossible to get. The Lincoln one fits, but if course has a Lincoln emblem. I’d very much like to find a ford one. But yes I have been and will keep looking.

This one is expensive and different, but it is made for the Maverick 2.0 ecoboost engine.

I watched the video and the one thing the santa cruz has that i like is the step in the rear bumper.to me the maverick is better but i would like that step.

The Bronco Sport hood insulation mat does NOT fit our Mav hood.

For starters, If you look at a B Sport hood and a Mav hood, the contours are different. The B Sport is flatter.

The fastener holes for the B Sport do not align with any holes in the Mav hood. The fasteners themselves do not work in any holes in the Mav hood. They are plastic, rectangular with a spring type action. It appears to me you would need to purchase round push style, being careful they are not so long as to dent the aluminium hood from the underside.

I tried using Velcro to fasten the hood insulation mat but could not get that to hold. It appears you need to use contact cement but it is not a good fit. It will need to be trimmed.

There are after-market products but they will not give an OE look.

I watched the Santa Cruz/Mav comparison video from the original post. I am happy with my Mav but I can see why the Santa Cruz is more expensive. There is a lot more detail, the engine cover and hood insulation being just two items.

I wish the Maverick would also copy the composite bed. Also hoping we get Sync4 and Blue Cruise in 2025. I'd especially love Blue Cruise, as I'm getting older and I'm starting to suck as a driver.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but are you saying this item fits since its from a Lincoln Corsair?
