2022 Maverick EB AWD delivered in July 2022. About 5600 miles on the odometer. One oil change to date. No problems. I retired in March 2022 and I sure don't drive much any more. So my Maverick average is about 1500 miles/year. My F250 average is only 500 miles/year.
I like my Maverick, but I love my SD. If push came to shove, I keep my SD and Maverick gets sold. My wife and daughter really like out Maverick, but daughter is becoming quite capable of handling the SD.
If you really want to go first class, check out replacing the seats with ones from a Lincoln Corsair. 10 way adjustable power seats. 24 way for the driver seat.
While my Maverick is an EB, I've got a tender hooked up under the hood with the negative terminal on the vehicle side of the BMS.
I can highly recommend a BM2 battery monitor hooked directly across the battery terminals. With a smartphone app via Bluetooth, you can see the current battery...
My SunJoe pressure washer has a soap reservoir built-in, so no real need for an external soap dispenser. I wash my trucks once a year whether they need it or not. :sunglasses:
The dumbest vehicle I encountered start-stop on was a diesel Audi A4 I rented in the UK. Terrible acceleration and when start-stop kicked on when waiting at a roundabout, I had to anticipate an opening 3-4 seconds in advance and floor the accelerator so that the engine could start again in time...
Tailgate hole cover. Big disappointment for me. If your spray-in bedliner folks sprayed the bottom of the tailgate (which they should), then the hold cover won't fit because of the extra thickness of the liner. The plastic tabs are so fragile that any attempt to force the cover on causes the...
In addition to putting trickle chargers on all my vehicles, I also put BM2 battery monitors directly across the battery terminals. They connect via bluetooth to a smartphone app. The device itself logs battery voltage for 30 days, every 5 or 15 minutes I think. The app has multiple test...
My SUVs and trucks get washed at least once a year, whether they need it or not. Foam cannon on a pressure washer, followed by scrubbing with a soft bristle brush on extension handle, followed by a good rinse. A bottle brush gets into any crannies in the wheels. They're trucks, so I'm not too...
I wish my EB had a locking gas filler door or at least a door that didn't open at the slightest touch. With a low bed that I often load things into over the side, I've inadvertently brushed against the door, causing it to pop open. If I don't catch it, it can remain open for days when I'm...
