I know there is a company that makes an aux tank for the Ranger - it is extremely high end build - fits behind rear bumper/hitch with no modifications and fills with stock gas filler and requires no switch to access the fuel - can't remember the co or how big the tank is but I recall it might be...
The best days for owning my Mav were picking it up from the dealership and driving it 750 miles home getting 30.4 mpg next best day was dumping it with 1,500 miles after countless low battery modes and the poor front door lock design easily locking myself out

well they are mfg in MX where there is no cold weather and also the workers hate the USA so they are sabotaging everything they make on the assembly line
