We just added the keypad to our Lariat Hybrid to be installed by dealer.
That keypad is not the same as the hardwired one. It is lower quality, battery powered and a stick-on.

As for the "400 Watt Inverter in the Cab" it cannot be added by the dealer on the 2024.

It's a pros and cons game. The downside is you have a years worth of depreciation on a new truck.
What depreciation!!!

Carvana is offering me $32,460 for my 2023 which is $4,119 over my total out-the-door price of $28,341.

I'm curious if the reason they haven't is most of the XLs are hybrid and thus there is little risk of the higher trims causing them to exceed the hybrid plan. Based on the difference from last month, hybrid and XL both went up by about the same amount by the time they closed the order banks on XLs.
Hybrids I can understand being a constraint. However, the XL trim pieces as a constraint seems more of an excuse than a constraint. Are there really any XL trim pieces that would be hard to get additional of? Seems like they are the simpler and more easily produced items. Non-power seats, rear seat without arm rest, mirrors with no power mechanisms, etc.

Everything is simply bolted in at the factory and Ford placed their order months ago. So, yes, XL trim pieces are limited to the number Ford planned to build. Doesn't matter if they are "easier to build" or not (discounting the steel wheels and the different interior fabric). Ford only plans to build what they plan to build.

Hmmm... Maybe 🤔 demand here shows possible good deals to be had on higher trim models that will be sitting on dealer lots come end of model year?

Will be interesting to see how that would play out in terms of affecting market value, whether they are purchased with or without markup/discount.

Ford has proven that their definition of priority is not the same as ours. Priority only within your dealer's orders, not nationwide. The number of new orders already scheduled proves that. Just look every week at those orders from July, August, and September, that have already been scheduled. My order will hit 400 days tomorrow.

This is what my dealership said, I think it is a form letter.
Hi RichardCranium, unfortunately we don’t know the allocation number is. However, we have over 80 orders and yours is on the top of the priority list. We are just waiting on Ford to pull the order.
I don’t think I believe him.

So I have a '24 Lariat ordered with FX4, 4K and PPF added. Is the PPF an item that will hold up the build? I had the splash guards on there originally as well, but removed them last week after reading about the paint damage issues.

Ordered on 7/22 with a priority code of 10 FWIW

I removed my PPF after I seen one installed. Only half way on the hood and fenders.
I paid 1100 to have the whole hood, fenders, front bumper, headlights, all door edges and door handle pulls done. Knowing that we're buying a cheap mini ranchero I decided I wanted a quality film and install ;)

My 23 mav XL hybrid has been moved to a 24 and a P2. Does anyone have an idea when it may be built?

My 24 hybrid is scheduled for the week of 10/16, in production, but no window sticker is coming up yet.

XL, Cactus grey, one option, a hitch.

July 17, 22, order date.

Depends on how many XL and hybrid allocations your dealer has and how many other XL hybrid rollover orders your dealer has. Even then, not a lot of insight.

Either a lie or incompetent. Every dealer was given a sheet of allocations in late June/early July with a number of rollovers, new allocations, and a breakdown of approximate mix (hybrid/EB, XL/XLT/Lariat, the packages).

I called around to 5 or 6 dealerships when choosing this year and only 2 would tell me the allocation numbers. One only had a few new allocations total, the other had 23 new allocations with 7 being hybrid and even emailed me a copy of the sheet to prove it. I'm not sure I can share it, though maybe if I redacted a bunch of info on it... (maybe there's one on here somewhere)
