The current top 3 constraints are Front Splash Guards (132% of yearly capacity), Hard Trifold (84%), and XL trim (77%).

Definitely need to remove splash guards if you have them on your order unless you would rather not have the truck.

Only 48k orders? That's 6 months of production. Everyone who has a MY24 order is getting their truck.

Where are you getting the Ranger numbers? I don't see anything about the Ranger in the document.

Imagine being Ford and not shipping pre-sold trucks at full production because of a basic plastic part.

Yep. Ideally Ford will increase their order to the supplier and bump up the capacity. Unless they do that, the best thing to do is buy the splash guards from Ford Accessories after ordering.

That wouldn't be very logical logistics on Ford's part!

Won't having a bunch basically ready to roll trucks waiting around for a backordered plastic part constipate the flow even worse than it is? I'm pretty sure it'll piss off waiting customers even more than they already are.

I would bet 99.99% of Maverick customers with outstanding orders would rather have their trucks in their driveways than have their orders postponed indefinitely because of a secondary, backordered piece of plastic. Especially since splash guards are readily available on the aftermarket, and for a much better price.

Ford, apply a credit for the plastic and pump out the trucks. Make people's day!

Both of our 24 orders are scheduled in Oct. The 16th and 30th. So you may be correct. I hope so the wait has been ridiculous.

Eh the eco doesn't far much better. Regardless 8x eco orders.... something is up.
I would not try and read too much into it. It's not just orders. We know they scheduled orders last week and they often schedule way above what the published constraints say they can.

A bunch of problems with the hybrids. Bad news gets around rather quickly.
More likely dealers are out of their allotment of hybrids and can only take new orders for EBs.

The frenzy might be over come march / April of 24. Post 6 shows around 900 new orders so is that continues that plant might have capacity to meet demand 2x give or take come mid/24. Obviously not everyone wants to order and many would love to just go and buy so demand might be higher but we might start to see these go off the lot without markup or little below.

This isn't an F150. I'd be surprised if Ford threw more than a grand on the hood.

What I'm more curious about is the low number of new hybrid orders...
They are raising prices quickly, and inflation is killing the buying power of consumers. Flat out, pretty much every new vehicle is not worth what they are asking, but you can daily drive a 21 year old vehicle only so long...

I'm fortunate as my 2023 was scheduled, and I am price protected on a 2024 either way. If I was coming in fresh off the street to order a 2024 hybrid, I would be looking at over $4k more minimum.

For the new 2024 price on a Maverick hybrid, there are other options I might prefer to wait 13 months to get (which is how long I will have waited to get my 2023 Maverick).

The splash guards are a peeve of mine. How can this be? Ford should just stop offering them. Plenty of aftermarket ones out there.
