Confirmed from me as well. I just went in and the dealer looked into the system, saw it as a 2023 and said it is currently locked. Had me look over what I wanted to change and said he would send a confirmation email that I could sign agreeing to the changes and I won't need to stop back in. He was receptive when I told him I would keep an eye out for online information that indicated changes could be made. I would call him "reluctantly receptive" but made a point to say he is tired of hearing about online rumors that turn out to be untrue lol. I am switching from an XLT to an XL so I will be the guinea pig and tell you how much this decision has screwed me over lol
Why switch? Is not the hybrid XL much more constrained than hybrid XLT's?

I'm caught up in this mess, and have confirmed with Ford CS that I have cancelled MY22 order (with a VIN) and an "unscheduled clean" MY23 order with the same order code. I want to change a couple of things (color, add BAP) on my MY23 order. My question is - is my dealer supposed to make the changes while it is priority code 99 and THEN move it to a priority code 10 or 19, or are they supposed to change the priority code first and then make changes?

Just got off the phone (10:15AM EST) with my dealer and my MY22 got cancelled. I now have a MY23 order. Priority is 99 but the order is still not amendable. I will have to keep checking since I need to change my color and I want to add CP360.

From what I understand, make changes then push it to P10-19, then ford will pick it up for P2 treatment. If you go opposite I'd imagine there's a chance Ford picks it up before you make those changes then you're stuck with the dealership trying to get the order back to 2.

We ordered XLT for cruise only in 2022 and now it is standard on XL. We had a price increase and this is fighting that price increase + loss of value of our trade in. 2022 XLT was 24k and 2023 XL will be $21k after the private offer. Being priority 2 a bare bones XL will get build I have no doubt.

Hypothesis: Ford will unlock them after scheduling tomorrow.

Granted, that will allow new MY23 hybrids to get scheduled, but those would likely be the last to be scheduled until the cancelled VINs get built.

@fordvideoguy Things have changed dramatically in my life. I’m planning to have my dealer take my converted order and change it from XLT Lux to Lariat Lux. Should I be concerned with this approach?
No, because your order will already be date in November and your order should be receiving a priority 2 so it will looked at first.

I don't know what Ford is waiting for. No reason to keep our "P99" orders locked that I could imagine. We need time to get our dealers to make our changes, and that doesn't push Ford into the next step of making them P2s until they are ready to do so.
Giving people time to adjust their orders is a good thing, especially with the difficulty some are having with their dealers. Keeping the orders locked all week doesn't seem to serve much of a good purpose to me.

Maybe they are waiting until all the 22vins are converted first? Mine converted today.

This is what my dealer wrote me when I asked what Priority Code 10 means. Based on what I've read on this forum this is a lie.

"Priority Code 10 means that the Maverick build was picked up but has been cancelled before production despite being serialized.

I appreciate the disappointment. Should you choose to keep your order in place you will be receiving a 2024 Maverick, not a 2023."

I believe the truck (Hybrid 2022) I ordered is going to get built as a 2023 and the dealer will then sell it for thousands above MSRP, as they are doing with other Mavericks.

First time "buying" a Ford (I'm cancelling the deal, not waiting until 2024 with no vehicle and not willing to find something to bridge the gap), and definitely the last time I'll consider Ford. Too bad, really looks like a great vehicle but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Best of luck to all of you sticking it out.

All the conversion new orders were supposed to have a conversion (new order) date of 11/14 according to Tim last night...and my dealer verified mine was done on 11/14 as I asked him to check.

That is a truly full load of BS.

If you don’t know, just make something up. 🙁
