So my 10/25/21 order was cancelled and a new order was placed on 11/14/22.

I know I lost all of the awesome rates from 2021 and my $2750 private offer doesn’t cover the entire price increase.

My truck will hopefully be delivered by March based on the 1/16/23 scheduled build.

My question is can I rate lock to the November rates? I know they weren’t great but they may be better than March or later.

Thanks

@fordvideoguy might know better than anyone, but I'm pretty sure anyone with a 2023 is stuck with "Market Rates" at time of delivery unless there's a promo when you take delivery.

(Yeah, Ford can suck a big fat one with screwing us on this one. Average rate is 6.1% now and only going up.)

It did. BUT people that had a vin and were scheduled to have a 22 built and then ford closed of the 22 year without building them had a window to reorder in Nov of 22 after the Sept order window closed... But only people in that situation could reorder then..

Yeah, I had a great rate too that's gone. Re- researching now myself.

I thought the rates when originally placing the order were locked under smart vincent? Holy hell, I am going to have to loo for financing elsewhere if that's not the case.

What I know for sure is the MY22 rates are gone for those of us that got changed to MY23.

If Ford was offering special low rates in November when you ordered, yes, these would be protected. But Ford has not yet offered any special low rates for 23 Maverick (Sept 22- Jan 23), so there is nothing to "lock in".
Incentive protection does not protect "standard" rates from Ford Credit, just the special low APR.

Check with your dealer, I do believe that there are some programs recently from Ford Credit that allow you to lock in a rate (you have to apply for the financing first), for up to 180 days. So that may be an option to get todays rate locked in to protect yourself for any increases btw now and March.
I don't deal w/ the finance end of things, so I don't know all the details about this.

If not, check w/ your local credit union. They may be the best source for the lowest rate for you.

It's not about making more money. It's the fact that they were not able to fulfill orders placed, and because of their failures, they increase the price, removed options from the luxury package and now they are increasing the interest rate. So not only am I now getting less than before for more money but the interest rate is significantly higher. This is borderline scammy
^ This!

The right thing that Ford should do for making us wait this long is straight up price protection and incentive protection AT THE MINIMUM! For those of us who ordered a 2022 and had to reorder in 2023, we've been waiting over a year for our trucks. And since we've ordered, Ford has removed the 4G hotspot, bed accessories from Lux packages, and replaced the temp readouts on the dials with cheapo Fisher Price stickers.

Ford should be thankful we haven't jumped ship and moved on to a different vehicle at this point, not nickle and dimeing us over interest percentages.

Ford screwed everyone of us who ordered in 2021 and are still waiting. We not only have been waiting forever but lost our (original) locked in rates. It would not have broke their bank to suck it up for loyal customers. Ford is scum in this regard.
