So.... What I got from tonight's livestream was if you are converted 22 to MY23 scheduled in Jan that you shouldn't change anything on order. Don't drop hitch or soft cover or anything... amen.

Thank you @fordvideoguy
Pretty spot on. Not changing anything on a scheduled order increases the chances of it being produced that week. If (and only if) the date is pushed I'd make minor changes. Body codes are a no, no. Adding packages are not a smart option. Dropping bed accessories or any dealer installed options won't hurt a person's chances.

I have been a Ford guy my entire life. Trying to teach my dealer what to do for less and more money…It has been abysmal. My roll over to 23 has me looking. Apologies Ford, I did give you a year

Teaching my dealer how to make my 14 month older to become a thing has proven to be something that makes me sad….I get half of what i ordered and pay more? If they ever build the fucking thing I will be surprised as my dealer has zero clue. I don’t blame them though….this shit show is on its last legs.

No you will not be able to check order since you have not received a 2023 vin
I think you misunderstood what happened here I asked him (a dealer) to post here when the cancelled vins replacement orders appeared in his WBDO (ordering system). As a dealer he can see those orders on his side of things before a vin is assigned. Hope I explained it well

I agree, this isn't my first Ford but it might be my last.

@fordvideoguy Things have changed dramatically in my life. I’m planning to have my dealer take my converted order and change it from XLT Lux to Lariat Lux. Should I be concerned with this approach?

The story of Tim's 20 orders out of 21 orders moving over successfully was enough to tell me that Ford did not think this through at all. On one order he couldn't touch the 2023 order number because it was already scheduled and wasn't supposed to change the 2022 order number and they were in conflict/same number. This caused the 2022 order not to be transitioned over. This quirk case SURELY will be figured out and handled by Ford but it just goes to show you that new 2023 orders should not have been scheduled until the cancelled order debacle had been handled.

Mostly it feels like we are all eating popcorn watching a slow motion train wreck. You desperately want to do something but you are powerless to stop it lol.

The factory starts MY23 next Tuesday. They need something to work on. Ford had to schedule something and would also have a riot on their hands if they only scheduled EBs to hold the hybrids for the cancelled VINs to be transitioned.

It was a no-win situation for Ford. We are two years into this mass-retail-order process for a company that has done it another way for decades. There will be things that just don't seem obvious to them.

Plus, 95% of the cancelled VIN orders migrated without issue. Ford can now get those hybrids put on the schedule while they work out the issues with the remaining 5%. They weren't going to be able to build all of them in the first month anyway.

I'm on the cusp of buying a AWD Hybrid SUV... If you look at the features of it and could price out a similar Maverick they are spot on close to price, but with much better quality, but in SUV form.

Here is hoping that Ford has not scheduled any more fresh MY2023's these last few weeks in hopes they were keeping them open for our orders (one can hope right).

If I am here past December with NO build date I'm going to feel like the biggest idiot ever. If Ford keeps giving VINs to heavy constrained Fresh MY2023 Hybrid orders then I'll order a Tesla. Ford is constantly bashing Musk on Social Media...In the South we say "hit dog barks the loudest".

I find it sad we have to get so much information from Tim....thank you.

There is a Ford Account on this forum totally mum on important things, jumps right in on minor warranty items that dealer should handle.

Kinda make me think why is that???

My dealer was trying to move mine from it (literally) when I got into contact with them yesterday.... He didn't say if it changed or not and I really don't want to bother them (they have been on top of it so far). I'm one of the few that says "wish Ford WAS my dealer".
