I picked these up at a store return auction new in box for $25. They're $200 on Amazon. Anyone know how similar a ford Explorer front floor area is to the maverick? Even if it's not a perfect fit it would be fine. Pictures looked close enough for me to take a chance. I'm sure I can resell on...
These are all practical reasons listed above but around here it's "who has the biggest/nicest truck" :D
I have a 1985 F250 IDI and I wouldn't trade it for anything even after it has given me a lot of headaches after initially taking ownership of it.
'22 cancelled and rolled into '23. I switched from XLT to XL and added the standalone hitch... I got a scheduled build date yesterday (priority 02). I would keep the hitch. It is the last thing I would remove. Only reason I didn't have it initially on my '22 order was I didn't realize it was the...
Cancelled VIN @ priority 02
No email.... BUT Ford chat says I have a VIN # and a build date of January 16. So glad I didn't "ditch the hitch"
XL + standalone hitch, no other options
This is why we are getting the XL hybrid with nothing but a hitch. In 2022 we ordered an XLT simply for the cruise. When we rolled over to a 2023 we couldn't switch to the XL fast enough. With private offer we should be right at $21k
My dealer changed us from XLT to an XL, changed us to priority 11, I chewed on available options for two days and contacted him back and added a hitch. He was able to edit it easily and required no new paperwork to sign.
Got my order changed from XLT to XL and signed a new build sheet showing 2023 XL MSRP (but no deduction for private offer which I know will show up later). I double checked and my order # is the same and I talked to ford chat with my order # and dealer # and they told me it is showing a 2023...
My dealer also said about four times yesterday that I was "losing price protection". We all know this to mean that we won't get a 2023 for a 2022 price but I am wondering if my dealer is saying this repeatedly so I am not surprised when they tack on $3000 market adjustment
We ordered XLT for cruise only in 2022 and now it is standard on XL. We had a price increase and this is fighting that price increase + loss of value of our trade in. 2022 XLT was 24k and 2023 XL will be $21k after the private offer. Being priority 2 a bare bones XL will get build I have no doubt.
Mostly it feels like we are all eating popcorn watching a slow motion train wreck. You desperately want to do something but you are powerless to stop it lol.
The story of Tim's 20 orders out of 21 orders moving over successfully was enough to tell me that Ford did not think this through at all. On one order he couldn't touch the 2023 order number because it was already scheduled and wasn't supposed to change the 2022 order number and they were in...
