Sorry, no idea? It's my everyday ride, runs just fine. Will one of the Eluminator crate motors fit?
Got my grandmas Nash Rambler 4 tone car ( brown with 3 levels of rust ) as my first automobile in high school. Could fit 7 skinny cross country teens with its two bench seats. Bench seats rock.Would be even better if you had a front bench seat. Maybe could fit 3 for a short trip.
great post!! I would buy one with out all the power BS, windows etc touch screen etc. just a regular truck, I till like the 4dr, but just reg am/fm radio A/C and automatic.I call BS on the standard narrative that not enough people want an inexpensive single cab or extended cab small trucks. This narrative has been pushed by the industry for ages now. But the point is that nobody has offered a truly small and inexpensive single-cab pickup truck since 2011. Remember, an early Toyota truck was 3 feet shorter than the Maverick and had a longer bed.
I'll remind everyone that the standard Ford narrative for the last decade has been that nobody wants small trucks. I clearly remember Ford execs arrogantly telling the assembled media in 2011 that all those Ranger owners could buy F150s. When we didn't do that they released the midsize Ranger and then they told the media we would buy the new Ranger. That narrative also turned out to be a giant stinking pile of horse shit. And finally they released the Maverick like they had a stroke of brilliant insight.
I'll stick with the evidence of my eyes, thank you very much. I'm passed by dozens of old single cab Rangers every day in my area. Those guys won't let them go. I'm letting my single cab go under protest (and only because I need AWD).
Unfortunately that doesn't make the bed any longer.Just take the backseat out if you don't want it. Seems like a simple solution to a problem only a few people might have. Unbolt and remove, the end.
The OP said " Does anyone else think if Ford did a rear seat delete with a secure storage toolbox instead of a bench seat people would buy it? "Unfortunately that doesn't make the bed any longer.
Agreed. I wanted a pickup for years but nobody made a smaller reasonably priced crew cab. The mav is really aimed at the SUV market.I think some fleet users might find that an attractive option, but as someone else already noted, those back seats are a mighty attractive selling point for more people. Kids, pets, road trips, etc. I have an older single cab Ranger, cannot WAIT to get a Mav with those back seats.
Might be true but I suspect the vast majority of people asking for the rear seat delete are tradesmen who are far, far more worried about the functionality of their truck than how much they can sell it for after they've thrashed it after 200,000 miles (please, please lord let my Maverick make it +200k)Rear seat delete = how to kill your resale for $1000, Alex
And it’s the owners choice.Rear seat delete = how to kill your resale for $1000, Alex
