My dash noise may be coming from the front windshield defroster vent. It is noticeable when going over bumps. If I put my fingers in the vent outlet, it seems to stabilize the vent and the noise quits. It probably looks like this.

Welcome to the club!
I brought to the dealer and did basically nothing. Said no issue and can't repeat. sigh I have recording of everytime this happens.

Took my wife out and she said that it's not so much as a rattle like a bean in the dash but more like vibration of metal/plastic or metal/metal or something.. Maybe it's true that there should be some something soft between in the dash or somewhere to minimize the vibration. ahh driving me crazy

Yours sounds like the couple of guys trucks on here that had this issue and this resolve. It’s the low pressure fuel lines are not clamped or aren’t clamped or tightened enough. I would have to find it… but a member here posted his service work order paperwork showing the issue and resolve. It sounds like a heat shield or exhaust rattle. The others on this thread myself included have a windshield click/rattle/pop/ticking/clicking sound!! It also can be fixed by a quality windshield replacement and new sealant. I haven’t had the time to get mine in for the laundry list of issues!! I have over 100 alerts in my app and truck for service charging system 12v I have the 2.0 EB engine. It’s the wire harness front bottom left bumper area… no weatherproofing and water intrusion.

Update from me: the person running the Ford account on here has been very prompt with me. Received a call from Ford again today and got an appointment at another dealer for August 4th. Hopefully others can continue updating this thread with their issues/fixes.

They put foam in there. Doesn't work. Going in for my 11th visit since March.

I'm in $200 for a rental and around $150 for Ubers, and no fix.

Check out the airbag recall thread that just popped up...may be the cause.

In order to find the rattle - you have to understand why it rattles.

The answer - its built like shit.

Now - how to fix the rattles?

I pulled my cluster out to chase the rattle down.

What it was?

The top dash is supported by plastic brackets - and it uses (i think) a 7mm to attach to them. I pulled the cluster, reached to the right, found the bolt, and tightened it (not an easy thing but diddable).

Ive also had to do both my front door panels with sound deadening mat.

why?

because its built like shit.

instead of Ford getting you service appointments maybe they could improve their product.

Both of my front doors rattle above 13/30 on my radio.

The "Master Tech" thinks both front speakers are blown. Now I'm no tech, but I've been around a car or two, and it's not the speakers that are blown. It's the asinine decision that Ford made to seat the uneven cheap plastic against essentially bare metal.

rong.

the reasons it does this is ford uses plastic welding to attach plastic panels to other plastic panels.

pull a door panel off - its almost comical.

ive had drivers door of twice and passenger off once.

the grey plastic and blue plastic are overlayed and then plastic welded together.

i went through the entire thing and added some spongey rubber strips (folded) to offer dampening then locked them in place with a sizable amount of sound deadening mat. make sure to go into arm rest area and do the same.

id say im covering 50% of the overall panel at this point.

you could always pull your panel and turnt the bass up and see if it still distorts.

comparrotly to most of this forum I have a PHD in pulling interiors apart. i think over the years ive had the door panels off of ..... 60-70 different cars - not sure.

the maverick takes the cake in cheapness.

You haven't taken apart an early 2010's Silverado/Tahoe then. Inside is all cheap milk jug plastic even the door pull which isn't replaceable; need a whole new door card. Cheap GM interiors are absolutely dire.

Bang on the head liner push on the speaker grill on the front dash. Push on the trim peice by your feet on the left side basicly bang lightly and push on all the trim peices you will push ut back into place at some point.

Head liner was one for me went clip then another was by mt feet were you get in pushed it also the window would squeek so putting ok heated wipers makes it gi away

At about the 250 mile mark my Maverick developed a rattle in the dash plastic. It starts at above 35mph and is constant. I can't for the life of me pin point the exact area in the dash its coming from. Pushing on different areas of the dash does nothing to stop it. Anyone else have this problem? Is this something the warranty would cover? I pretty much just have to keep the radio volume turned up all the time so I can't hear it.
Just wait for winter when the plastic shrinks even more

Every car I've ever had has had a rattle. Even the brand new ones. I haven't noticed one in my Maverick yet, but that could be that I am coming from a 30 year old Jeep Wrangler and the whole thing is a giant rattle.
