Living down south heated anything doesn't seem necessary but good AC does so all I really need is the 4k tow package

Heated seats and steering wheel with remote start is nice where I live. This past winter, we had temperatures below 0 as the high for 1 week solid!

I am honestly surprised more luxury packages weren't ordered with the overall affordability of this truck.
While I would have liked to order the lux package on my XLT, I have a pretty strict budget of 25k all in. The XLT + spray in bedliner, minus 4%/invoice, plus taxes/tag/title/registration puts it right at 25k. I may drop the spray in if it delays it past December and have it done aftermarket though.

There is a big section of the country that doesn’t need heated seats, mirrors, wipers and steering wheel. I do need them.
I agree lots of people "think they don't need" heated seats. But once you have a car/truck with heated seats you can't go back. I ordered Lux package without blinking an eye. To me, sun roofs are in the same category, once you have it you can't not have one.

We should do a poll of where people are from. Like whether you are from a rural area or an urban one. I’d be curious to see just how many city folk ordered one vs us out in the sticks.
City here. 80% of the drive is in the city under 30 mph. Had a '13 escape titanium with a 2.0 ecoboost and struggled to get 19 mpg combined. I do like to have the bed for dog gear (we have 4)since it ruins the inside of the vehicle, moving larger items (also ruins the inside of a vehicle) and helping my mom with her rather large garden in NH and it's supplies (did I mention the interior?).

I was looking for a hybrid vehicle, better than 30 mpg combined and almost settled on the new Tucson SUV. Then I saw this and my childhood dream of a truck came to fruition, though it's not my F-150 (someday...), it will fit in the city and maneuver in a parking garage.

Same with ventilated seats, amazing on road trips. Anti-swass technology at its finest

Was mildly tempted to look at the Santa Cruz due to that option.

Remote start with heated seats is going to be a game changer in the winter.

I can understand that. I've never had a car with vented seats, never rented a car with vented seats so I don't know what I'm missing. I would imagine it would be nice as the sun in Dallas kills seats.

Oh it's by far the best option to come out in a long time. Especially if you fight with your co-pilot over the temperature, you just pop it on and you are nice and cool. It is also super helpful when you have those hot days to actually reduce some of the retained heat in both front seats.

A sunroof was super tempting for me. But I'm already at 26k before taxes.... And Kansas taxes aren't very nice.

I live on the outskirts of a small town (maybe 25 homes and a church) in Michigan. I have a 45 minute drive to work so I needed something good on gas. We also have livestock and four wheelers so I needed the ability to tow and haul. I couldn’t justify the monthly payment of a new f-150 so as soon as the maverick came out I was all over it. It checks every box. I just hope it comes before the first snow fall.

I tend to purchase base or near base trims in the vehicles I buy. I live in TX so never thought of heated seats, but was on a trip a few years ago to NY and the rental was out of the class I selected so ended up with a loaded Nissan Maxima....since then I have thought 'I might get a higher trim next time I buy and wouldn't mind heated seats. I do not however care for sunroofs. Anyway point being that when I am ready to buy at the end of next year I will likely go with XLT, the only real thing drawing me to Lariat is I think it would be nice to have push button start.

I agree on the heated seats but I'm afraid I will also miss my cooling seats now that I'm used to them. I really don't care about the sun roof though take it or leave it, I have my covered 95% of the time now.

Don't you have to order the engine heater as well. 😁
