Occupation: Drinking water/Wastewater plant operator
I work for a village operating 2 wastewater plants and one drinking water plant. I also have a business where I operate another drinking water and wastewater plant. I got the maverick for the mpg and usefulness of it. I picked my...
I know, I was just saying why I personally didn’t get it. It definitely has its advantages and I can see why people would like it. I will get more use out of the tow package and FX4 package than I ever would out of co-pilot. If I lived in or near a city that would be different.
It’s both the fact that they are getting cheaper and the fact that automakers are being pushed to hybrid and full electric vehicles. Also a base hybrid is a huge selling point.
Mine says it’s been shipped!
It says it will arrive between 11/12 and 11/18 at the top but where it says shipped it states 22 days. Which would have it arrive on the 31st. I don’t think the right hand knows what the left hand is doing over there at Ford.
2014 Ford Edge (was my daily till it was totaled two weeks ago)
1996 Dodge Ram 2500 (my current daily)
2001 Ford Ranger (my wife’s daily)
1980 Ford F100 (the project truck)
My second gen ram and F100 think the whole road is fair game. I look like a drunk driver on windy days or bumpy roads just trying to stay between the ditches 😂
True but blind spot I would never use because I’m used to checking. Cross traffic alert I wouldn’t use much because I live in a rural area. Lane keeping would just end up pissing me off. For me that stuff doesn’t have much of an use. But if I was in the city all the time I could see the benefit.
I’ve made it this far without it I don’t see any reason to get it. My current daily is a lot bigger and only has cruise control so in my case copilot feels like a waste of money.
The accident could’ve been much worse. I’m glad me and my wife were fortunate enough to walk away with only bruises.
I went ecoboost for the awd because Michigan winters suck. I will definitely be jealous of your 40mpg though. Hopefully you get scheduled here pretty soon.
Thank you for the review. My maverick needs to hurry up and get here. I totaled my daily last week and now I’m stuck driving the farm truck to work. Boy does that 8.0L V10 chug gas like no tomorrow. I have an early October build date and the wait is killing me and my wallet.
I wouldn’t get the tow package unless you plan to really work the truck. The package also adds a different rear gear which will help acceleration at the expensive of top end speed.
The lariat also adds some other things such as the sync system, signature LED lighting, power passenger seat...
