The XLT luxury package is pretty useless if you live in the south and do not need all those heated things.

The only things in the list that interests me is the Full Size Spare Tire and the Spray-in Bedliner.

When ordering Ford Co-Pilot360 you get the Full Size Spare Tire and the Spray-in Bedliner can be purchased separately.

I live in Vegas and love the heated seats on my back year round.

There is a big section of the country that doesn’t need heated seats, mirrors, wipers and steering wheel. I do need them.
This exactly. My husband's Subaru has heated seats, and I always turn mine off the minute I get in. I rarely use a cruise control, though my last two vehicles have had it ('96 Jeep Cherokee, '07 Ford Escape.) In fact, since I stopped driving my parents' cars back in the 60s, I don't think I've ever driven an automatic. I'm no racer and not into fast acceleration or anything, but my left foot is going to be reaching for that clutch pedal for a while.

The real attraction for me was number one, a hybrid for a reasonable price; and two, a vehicle designed to accommodate our kind of cargo, which is often feed for our horses. With the tonneau cover, it will also handle our musical instruments and sound rig more easily.

Power tailgate lock is standard on all XLT trimmed trucks, not a part of the lux package. Also if you have a best buy nearby, they have sales every couple months where you can get a 2 WAY compustar remote starter with a mile range for under $300 installed. So I figure for most people, including me the lux package is mostly about the heated stuff. I personally chose to skip it, and I'm from Chicago. My maverick will spend it's nights on the street and the factory ford remote start fob will have a hard time reaching it. And not knowing if it started successfully by getting a 2way remote is a deal breaker for me. Remote start is also available through the my Ford pass app, which theoretically has unlimited range, but a monthly fee. Although my Ford salesman said it's free for first 2 years. I guess I will try that before I go to bb.
Got the best buy installed Viper/DEI remote start on our highlander and its been awful, will pay extra for key fob option and starting with the app will not work all the time- FYI

#1 reason is S A F T Y

And for me it is BLIS:

BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) can alert you to a vehicle detected alongside and difficult to see in a blind spot. The system uses radar sensors on both sides near the rear of the vehicle. When a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, you are alerted with an indicator light in the sideview mirror. The Cross-Traffic Alert feature also uses this radar to help detect traffic behind your vehicle when you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. When it detects a vehicle approaching from either side, it flashes an indicator light in the sideview mirrors (same as BLIS) and emits an audible warning. Also, a visual display in the message center indicates from which direction the vehicle is coming.

https://www.ford.com/technology/driver-assist-technology/blis-cross-traffic-alert

My current car is a 2015 Honda Fit which has a right side camera that show traffic (blind spot) on that side with markers for distance. I wanted something similar and this added more in that it checks both sides.

Also note that the Full Size Spare Tire comes with the 360 package so that drops the actual cost of the 360 down by $115 because I had already decided to get the Full Size Spare Tire.
The best benefit is the overall SAFETY... the secondary benefit is reduction to your Auto Ins Premium!! Pretty significant for me... dropped from $1200 per 6 months down to- I think I recall this correctly: $690.

Wait until the Maverick is actually out. I think your salesperson is off base. From what I have been able to gather, the remote start portion is always free... what they charge monthly for is the wifi hotspot.

I'm surprised at how many ordered 360. I didn't. I've ordered XLT, for cruise control. Can anyone explain why the 360 was so popular?
It's a safety feature, and sounds like a good idea to me. Why would it not be popular?

I rarely used the cruise control in my last two cars. No reason to make a step up in trim level just for that. I have developed a sore neck from checking and rechecking blind spots while driving on heavily traveled interstates, so something that can reaffirm my judgement for me is probably a good idea.

Went to dealer yesterday and dropped the 360 . Wanted it but made the change to help my chances of getting my Lariat.
