What do you like LEAST about the Maverick?

Grumbles:
- The lack of adaptive cruise control on the XLT trim.
- The use of a key in the XLT trim.

Growls:
- The likelihood that cost and supply chain issues gave us an 8" screen with a little shrine instead of a proper 12" screen.
- No hybrid with AWD and 4K tow.

Oh come on you know they could have done this:
- I wish they could have reduced the engine bay by 5", pushed the cab forward, and offered a 5' bed.

How about pushing the rear axle back and a 6' bed?

I hate it when I lean over to get something from the bed and the fuel cover pops open because of my stomach, and for some reason which I haven't figured out yet is that sometimes I'll step out from the drivers seat with the key in the ignition and only the drivers side door locks, but the others three doors remain unlocked. I thought maybe I was accidently pushing the manual door lock but no. Remembering the access code has come in handy a few times.

The Area 51 Lariat FE decals started to come off my with the first car wash. I didn't like them anyway and thought they looked cheap (which in fact they are) I had them removed. Thats the only thing I dislike about my Mav so far.

Driver has the steering wheel to hold on to! Seriously, to not encourage only one hand on the steering wheel.

I’ve had my truck for a little over a week so I still have a long way to go with it but right off the bat I had a couple minor gripes with it. One being the side mirrors and rear view mirror being a little too small for my liking. I have a rear sliding window in my truck and combined with the small rear view mirror my visibility out the back sucks to put it plainly. I bought one of those clip on rear view mirrors on and that has helped tremendously but I feel like the clip on mirror takes up a lot of visibility and I’ve found myself ducking to look around it. Those are my couple minor things I’m not super fond about but overall I absolutely love this truck. It’s been fantastic and there’s way more things I like about the truck than don’t like.

I've had mine for a 3 1/2 months now. Since I got the Lariat FE package with all the "trimmings" I'm pretty satisfied with everything. A few little things might have been done a little better but, hey, I'm really liking what I got.

The back seat.... You should have been able to make the bottom tilt forward and the backrests go down flat like typical SUV 2nd row seats.

It gets hot quickly while driving in the car on a 50 degree day. Many times I thought I had the heat on or at least the dial high, but it’s off and on low. I’m not looking forward to 90 degree weather.

I have not found the right combination of windows to open to not have so much noise. The sunroof and back window combined makes my ears pop too.

The mic for Bluetooth has too much wind noise for those listening to me.

2.0 lux Lariat fx4. Really minor complaints. The front under bumper spoiler (no idea about the proper terminology) seems really low. I have to be careful to stop short of curbs. Someone else mentioned that the gas tank filler cover opens when you lean into the bed. would like to be able to tilt the front driver seat cushion up at the front. Obviously not much to complain about. Positives hugely outweigh negatives.

My '03 Ford Explorer Sport Trac has both passenger and driver grab handles and I love 'em. Wish the Mav was outfitted like this.
