The only code that was back to the original was the SCCM so I’m not sure.

With the little mechanical experience I have, I didn’t want to take the chance of doing anything more to potentially damage the truck. I’ve learned many valuable lessons today.

You know, @CaleebT, I wasn't so sure about you at first. But I'm starting to like you. It takes character and humility to admit that you messed up, and then learned something from it. Many people would have responded to some of the negative comments you received by punching back and running away. You're alright in my books.

I'm puzzled that they would re-program the modules. Maybe they were concerned that your programming skills are similar to your wrenching skills, and they didn't want to return the truck to you in a "non-factory" configuration, in hopes of avoiding liability/safety issues? Running an alignment suggests that they were struggling for answers, so maybe they were stumped, and decided to flash the modules back as-built to rule out a computer problem? We'll probably never know.

Now, you'll just need to decide if you feel comfortable using FORScan to tweak your settings again. Or you may want to cut your losses and bring the truck back to the dealer, along with the original switches, for them to revert everything to its original state. To be honest, I might suggest the latter. They'll probably charge you this time, but it might be better than losing more sleep worrying that you've messed up your truck. Totally up to you, of course, but remember that errors in FORScan can have serious consequences.
No, you got this! Hopefully they connected the cables when they put the wheel on ...

I have already turned the switches back on. I did all the work and followed every instruction that was out there. As I was doing it, I had 3 different threads open so I made sure to do it right. Made 1 mistake and am glad it wasn’t a big one.

I do enjoy reading all the posts and threads, I check them daily. It actually might be a problem lol.

Didnt get any paperwork. However they must’ve changed the programming back to as built because the switches don’t work currently.
Just one more question and then I'll let this go forever.

When you went to the cashier to check out, they gave you no paperwork and you signed nothing? How did you claim the car?

The service advisor came and got me from the waiting area and chatted about what was found. He gave me the keys and showed me where it was parked. I’m not sure exactly what your looking for since you’ve already had your fun.

Next time if something like this happens come and post a question in this forum. Could have been solved quickly and saved you and the dealership a lot of hassle.

If you want to program your steering wheel buttons correctly post a picture of what you do have installed on your truck and let me know if you have Copilot 360 installed or not. The dealer sounds like reset the modules using as built data associated with your VIN usinh their IDS software. Redoing the buttons won't cause any issues except for them to work correctly.

I just read back a little bit. Unlike older steering wheels these wheels are almost impossible to put on wrong. I am guessing you had the wheels turned when you put the steering wheel back on straight.

I already reprogrammed them to the codes you posted. Thanks for your hard work!

I just should’ve marked where I took it off from. Never stop learning lol
