100%. I want it exactly as I ordered it.. or I don't want it at all. If it comes in 6 months, great. 8, great. Gets pushed to 23 and comes in 14 months.. fine. But it's going to be to my specs exactly or I will not buy it.
Can understand that. I like putting some things on myself which is why I got the base. Not that I’m particularly handy, but it’s a good reason to have a couple garage beers with the guys and talk about trucks for a couple hours.

%, Constraints and Mecum Auto Auctions!

This Lariat, as configured, may become a Unicorn, with an array of Constraints and low % items that (apparently) drove many into drops or changes.

[fast forward 20 years to a Mecum Auction] “and this Maverick Hybrid is the only Maverick built in 2022 with FoMoCo genuine (fill in the blank as needed).

February plans in place to attend the Chicago Auto Show 1 day, specifically to visit the Ford Booth and ask for time with the most senior Ford Employee on site…to ask a few questions…and make a couple observations.

Hold up they are only building 5500 a month, doesnt that seem really low?
Even if they build 6000 or 7000 or 8000 per month, it means very little difference to building out the entire model year. Building an extra 1000-2000 per month will buy them a few months at the back end of the year, maybe. Ford needs to build 10-12,000 plus per month to finish the 2022 model year in a “reasonable” timeframe. That just ain’t gonna happen. Said this months ago, and nothing has really changed, other than they have a crap load of more orders to process now.

That’s a good, simple question to ask, perhaps enhanced by wearing the white t-shirt with black block lettering:

Does anyone know the total number of hybrids ordered (since ordering was cut off, several month ago, I expect the number is available somewhere) versus the number already built? This might give an idea of the impact of 9000+ planned builds for Mar-May.
It's a corporate level secret....if we had that info, most of us could do the grade school math and quickly come to the conclusion that thousands of trucks will not get built for MY2022

May be committing assumicide here, but I think the second number may be the percentage that they have with that commodity ordered?
I will go with in SIBL. THE 47% Is the % of all Mavericks (may be for this whole month or may be % of all remaining orders) and the 56% is the % of this Week's Production (current production) being built. 🤔🤔🤗🤗😇

What's the point of canceling the features you want in the truck to get a truck without them? Geez, for $30k I want what I want. If it doesn't show up so be it.
This is where I have been. I refuse to give up my lux package. That and floor liners are all I picked.

Still going to whine though. June was so long ago 🤣 I'm getting older and fatter, climbing in and out of a 30 year old Jeep is something I don't want to do daily anymore.

I’ve been asking my sales person about items that might delay de scheduling process and he always says “all is good”, I placed my order 01/18, XLT EcoBoost, FX4, and towing package with a few accesorios, and the hard roll up cover is among them, I just passed him this constraints list to see what he will say now !! 😡

So I got scheduled for 2/28, currently priority 2. XLT, Lux, FX4, Moonroof, Lux, Ecoboost, 4K. Now have to watch and see if they actually build this - based on above odds not great.

Ford owes better communication and prioritization - but the supply chain constraints are what is driving these issues and not a lot Ford can do about that challenge. I would never let them off the hook for the lousy lying dealers, lousy order process, lousy communications. But the constraints are on supply chain.

If I back out wheels and an engine could that get around the constraints and move me up in the line so I get a production date? 😖 Seriously...how can they build these at all with no parts?😜
