Because my 2024 Mav locks itself sometimes (arbitrarily), I'm careful to take my phone with me in the summertime when I want to keep her cool running. Otherwise, I take the key with me. Never know when it's gonna happen (arbitrary for real). Thankfully, i always had my phone with me when it surprised me a few times. The keypad sounds add-on great.
Let me fix your post for you. The Maverick NEVER locks ITSELF....ever. The driver's hand getting out locks the Maverick. Where you been since 2022???? :like: :like:

I tested the door locking on it's own a couple of years ago. 3 Out of 5 times it locked till January of 24 then it stopped.
You may have finally stopped touching the inside lock😅. Ford actually sent us a bulletin saying that if an owner complained about the door locking on its own, that was what was happening. They were inadvertently touching the inside door lock. Several customers got angry when we suggested that. But once they started paying special attention, they noticed that it didn't happen anymore.

We got a bulletin from Ford saying that was likely what was happening. We'd tell the customers that's what was happening. They'd dispute it. But once they paid special attention, the problem stopped happening.

I've been in the product testing business for nearly 40 years. I didn't touch the button.

Oh my. Thank you, omniscient one, for fixing my post. As a show of adoration, allow me to fix yours. When the lock button is pressed, whether intentionally or not, there is produced a distinct sound. For one of sound hearing, this sound of doors locking would be a pretty hard to miss. I, of myself, know very little. But my ears work. 🥰🥰

Wrong sound.
Because wrong thing pushed.

The lock lever is silent and .... well, could be deadly in the right circumstances perhaps.

When I press the lock BUTTON just forward of the inside handle on my XL, the doors lock. The doors locking makes a "clunk" noise. If I were to ever somehow accidentally press the lock button at the same time I'm pulling the latch handle in the opposite direction, I would here the "clunk." At that point I would think myself, "oops!" And press the unlock button, & hear a similar confirming "clunk."

Wrong sound? Wrong thing pushed? Deadly lock lever? 🤔

This conversation is proving deadly to my soul. I can hear the sound of precious moments being sucked out of my consciousness into the meanderings of the conditioned, collective human mind.

. . . wait a minute. Maybe your silent & potentially deadly lock lever story was meant entirely in jest. If so, oops. My bad.

Please forgive me!

And, when I open the door, the UNLOCK lever travels with the latch handle...
