Thanks, Darryl.
I was offended until I finally understood that there is a power lock button AND a lock lever. (Went out to the Mav & saw for the first time the lock that's integrated with the door handle. 🤦🏼) Then I was embarrassed, almost mortified. ☺️
I eventually made amends to the guys...
Thanks, Meeka.
I have learned a lot. I ordered a 23 in Sep 22, & have been hanging around here ever since. On July 23 she rolled into a 24, & delivered Nov 23.
I had learned a lot here by the time she delivered. I was telling Glen I got into a Granger ESP at dealer cost. It came in handy...
I appreciate you.
Thankfully, I've never thought of leaving the forum. I've learned a lot here, been turned on to several great discounts like the Granger ESP at dealer cost, and cool mods like my favorite, the Fumoto engine oil drain valve.
Regrettably, I did think about exiting the thread...
@Glen Baker LLC @HeyBales @Meeka @Kenv24
I'm sorry.
Before now, I'd never heard of or noticed the silent lock lever.
I checked out this thread expecting to find others who'd experienced the same random self-locking phenomenon that (I thought) had been my experience. I did.
And then I found...
Oh my...bad. I just went outside to find the lock lever I didn't know I had. Yes, it could be deadly if I accidentally locked myself out while off-roading mid-summer in the middle of Death Valley.
Still... the silent lock lever is pulled OUT to the unlock position when I swing the latch handle...
When I press the lock BUTTON just forward of the inside handle on my XL, the doors lock. The doors locking makes a "clunk" noise. If I were to ever somehow accidentally press the lock button at the same time I'm pulling the latch handle in the opposite direction, I would here the "clunk." At...
Oh my. Thank you, omniscient one, for fixing my post. As a show of adoration, allow me to fix yours. When the lock button is pressed, whether intentionally or not, there is produced a distinct sound. For one of sound hearing, this sound of doors locking would be a pretty hard to miss. I, of...
Because my 2024 Mav locks itself sometimes (arbitrarily), I'm careful to take my phone with me in the summertime when I want to keep her cool running. Otherwise, I take the key with me. Never know when it's gonna happen (arbitrary for real). Thankfully, i always had my phone with me when it...
Word. I do my own oil changes on the Mav. And I can change the air filter. But that's it.
With YouTube & my little OBD2 code reader, I've been able to do a lot of work on my old 2001 Tacoma. Getting her ready to sell now. When she's gone, my mechanicking days will be over... sigh...
I'm glad I bought the extended warranty from Granger when they were offering it at Dealer cost.
At a little over 40K miles, I had my first problem with my 2024 Ecoboost. I'm picking it up today from the dealership I've been using for routine service. They just replaced the Turbocharger &...
