I don't drive overly aggressive, but I am only averaging 19.2 with 100% city driving. I barley leave a 5 mile radius from my house and it is all stop lights and four way stops, so that's probably part of the reason.
Yes - this is FAR worse than what the EPA describes for their city MPG evaluation. This is about the worst possible scenario for MPG for any vehicle - all short trips, cold starts, lots of idling. Hybrid would be killing it in this scenario...

I am not sure what octane fuel the dealer filled mine up with initially, but my first re-fueling after 324 miles of pretty much in town driving came in at 24.8 MPG. Those miles include several times giving rides to friends and trying to impress them with the acceleration G-Forces. I have the AWD XLT and tow package. The 3.81 gears may reduce the MPG slightly.
I am going to continue re-fueling with whatever octane the top rated fuel is and see if I can beat the Tesla Plaid 0-60 and quarter mile times.

My current average (fuelly button below!) is after 3,600 miles give or take. Extremely happy. This includes about 2K miles to/from Minneapolis-Toronto. Driving into high winds most of the travel due to changes in weather (15-20mph+), at 73-77mph, still a great result.

Also, at 26.7mpg overall, my long-term gauge (reset trip b at purchase) shows 28.1, so the gauge is about 4% optimistic for me.

Getting about 25mpg with my 50/50 city/highway driving. This is with a 2.0 AWD with the Tow Package and 255/65r17 AT tires. Dash MPG meter is within 1mpg from my hand calculations.

The speedo is dead on so I can only assume the odo is too.
Looks good, hopefully mine is as close. (Last 4 new cars I bought were apparently 1-3 mph low from readings).

I was getting 23.7 before I put on the Tonneau Cover, now I am getting 24.3. I drive approximately 24 miles a day, an even mix of city and interstate driving.

Yeah, I probably would have been better suited for a hybrid, but I really wanted AWD and 4k tow. Even my 2015 VW GTI only averaged around 21 with my usual driving, but got 33 on the highway. My 2018 F-150 got about 15 around town.

Here's where I am at, after fueling with 87 octane ethanol-free yesterday. Very little highway driving.

Last two tanks hand calculated at 28.2 and 29.7, right at 80% highway in normal mode. Trip computer had those tanks at 28.5 and 29.2 respectively.

Did a trip to GA over Thanksgiving and averaged 32mpg. It was mostly interstate with the adaptive cruise set to 70mph.

I average about 27 mpg during the week on my drive to work.

Just finished my first tank of dealer-filled 87 octane with 10% ethanol. 348 miles and an all city average of 23.9MPG. No real highway driving, since we trailered it home. When I fueled up, it was telling me that I was 29 miles to empty. Not much more than a gallon in the tank.

I filled it with 87 octane ethanol-free (16.006 gallons) and will report back..
Just fueled up, after running through most of the tank of 87 Octane ethanol-free. 428.7 miles on this tank and the lie-o-meter(As my late wife used to put it) says 28.9MPG. Fuelly gave me a different number though.. Still impressive for 70/30 city/highway driving.. Definitely less BTU's in the ethanol blended fuel! Pics below:

Interesting to note: The speedometer is usually 1-2MPH below actual speed. Odometer is spot-on though..

Just did a 465'ish mile trip, some town, highway up to 79 mph cruising and 55-60 back roads, my truck has our oil separator and intake on it, dash indicated 31.1 and doing the actual math I got 30.12. Very happy with the truck.
I am thinking about ditching the one I have for a Maverick 2.0

I have a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado with the 2.8 diesel.

1)There's a bunch of things I don't like
It has an interference engine with a stupid timing belt that costs 1200 to replace

2) it has a particulate filter that would cost 6000 if it were to fail.

3) DEF fluid.... having to add that all the time and it could freeze in the winter and crack the tank.

4) it goes through a regeneration process where you have to drive around aimlessly burning fuel for 20 minutes so the dpf can clean itself.

I like the Colorado truck itself just hate this emission crap for the modern diesels. It also has extra nox sensors, and def injectors.. all this stuff could fail and cost alot.

I could break even on the Colorado and get a Maverick to ditch my diesel

What’s your mpg on the diesel? Be nice if they did a diesel with the hybrid
