Do you enjoy driving your Maverick?

Ive had mine for 2 weeks.



Blind spot area is horrible, but easily solved with a blind spot mirror add-on. It was the same on my Ranger.

I had my wife walk around the vehicle. There was no spot I could not see her. I had to move my head a little.
It didn't hurt I swear :'P

I agree - I'm not sure I get this talking point. I drove a Ram 1500 for 5 years that had far more significant blindspots. Maverick is pretty much a breeze in my experience.

Yes. I prefer my truck over the Explorer. As I'm the only one to drive it, I have it perfect in terms of comfort. I've also trained it so that it has the proper amount of "get up and go" when driving.

I feel your frustration on that rant. Apparently not for everyone. Did you not test drive it before investing? While I don't agree with your assessment, all 6 of those items are quite obvious from a test drive. Just curious.

My bad. I did not. I did a ton of research. Read every article watched a lot of YouTube reviews. The worst of the reviews reluctantly said the interior was plasticky. Bed was small. Some minor quibbles. It’s an inexpensive vehicle. Some of my complaints are from living with it. Some I probably would have overlooked in a test drive. My biggest mistake is that I had been driving my Titan for 18yrs. It was in good shape but needing some major repairs/maintenance. I was excited to get a new vehicle. Didn’t need a full size truck. This fit the bill and very little was negative (at the time). So I ordered one and waited.
I like the truck. Good gas mileage. Perfect size for me. Looks great (IMO). But if I get the chance I’ll get rid of it and get an older ranger. Late nineties early 2000’s. Love to find a pristine mid 90’s F-150. 5.0l. Best vehicle I ever owned. So, yes. It’s my own fault.

I assume you're talking about the pre-collision alert here. Mine went off once and I turned the sensitivity down to low and have never had any safety warnings since.

I read the wiper “procedure”. How dumb is that.
I did not know you could turn the sensitivity down on the “pre collision” system!!! Someone Send me a link! I actually almost crashed the first time it went off! It scared the living crap out of me! There was no reason for it and all of a sudden there’s flashing lights/warning thing I have to read (in the middle of an “emergency”?).

Nearly every vehicle I've owned that had a wiper "park" mechanism has worked that way, so I don't find it dumb.

Only my 3rd day as a maverick owner. I think I am still in awe. The ride quality is incredibly smooth and I have not been in wanting of power at all. The seat, steering wheel, and room all are a perfect combination for driving comfort. I was worried about going from a car I would mind the blind spots more but honestly visibility is really good. I’m not the best driver for getting optimal mpg but I reached 42 mpg on my way home driving the speed limit or slightly above.

TLDR: love driving this truck so far

On my 2nd one, both hybrids. The FWD had a cushier ride than the AWD, but the AWD has a smoother transition from gas to electric, and the braking is seamless. The AWD system works great and the extra towing capacity has eliminated my need for my F150. Both are really affected by windy conditions compared to the F150. Sound in the 2025 is greatly improved from the '22 (both standard XLT systems). I just wish I could have stayed with the Cyber Orange for the '25!

Thanks for saying that. I agree.
Again some of my comments are about nearly all new vehicles (screens and transmission programming). I would have gotten a manual transmission if it were available.
I’m a lifetime motorcyclist and drive large box trucks. No accidents in 20+ years. (Knock on wood) I feel most of the electronic “safety systems” are more hindrance than anything. I was taught to pay attention and through experience that’s how you avoid accidents. Don’t put yourself in the situation. (Not all accidents can be avoided). I don’t need flashing lights and warning bells distracting me from avoiding a potential accident.
my reliability concerns are from mainly this forum. I try and take it with a grain of salt knowing it’s a microcosm and passionate owners. But the corporate squeezing of every nickel of profits. The reliance on electronics. Durability has taken a back seat. Time will tell for me. Anyway. Thanks to all on here. I feel the forums are a great benefit to the car community. I do enjoy learning more about my vehicle.

Dumb generic post, but I was driving around this weekend and thought "you know, I really do enjoy driving this truck".

I've had way "cooler" vehicles that were more performance/luxury oriented, but the Maverick handles/drives so well. Every time I hop in I'm content.

I was on the highway, backroads, and in stop/go traffic over a long trip today and not once got sick of being in the truck for an extended amount of time. There's a sweet spot with this truck that's hard to describe.

I also really enjoy the features of the Lariat package in my Tremor. The seats rock, plush but firm. The B&O sound system is great. It's cold AF out here in the northeast and the heated function in the seats/steering wheel do not disappoint. The AWD system has also rocked while the roads are slick.

Feeling grateful tonight I guess!

Have had my 2023 EB Lariat for almost 2 years and it never disappoints me. It’s been a solid vehicle with only 2 recalls both done in my driveway by the mobile Service. Have no complaints on my end and really enjoy the retirement gift to myself so I went with all the bells and whistles. Since I don’t go off road and tow I didn’t get the off road pkg or 4K options.

I love driving mine, look forward to it every time I drive it. Everyone who rides with me compliments me on how nicely it rides and how comfortable it is. I have the 24 FWD Lariat, and it has all the power and toys that I require
