Short answer: Yes. The Maverick has been my favorite vehicle to drive... Other than my Grabber Blue 2010 Mustang Premium Coupe (RIP).

I do enjoy my maverick and I'm missing it quite badly right now as I've been stuck in a Hyundai Tucson for the past two months waiting for my truck's hail damage to be repaired.
I don't hate the Tucson but I sure don't love it. The interior looks and feels just as cheap as the Maverick and the driver's door armrest is too low while the window sill is too high (and as thin as charity). The headlights are abysmal, barely tolerable when clean and once they get a light splash of road grime you can forget about seeing anything on the highway.

Hopefully I'll have my truck back this week so I can get my winter tires installed and see where I'm going at night.

didn't expect to love driving it as much as I do..
the hybrid is very quick off the line, rips up the CO hills with ease, and handles nicely for a truck.
Went to cut our Christmas tree in the forest, and was very pleased with the way it handled the twisty steep roads. On the ice and snow its slippery mode does well.
All in all delighted..

The old Sport Trac in my profile pic, roars nicely at startup, I like how the rwd gives a push under acceleration. But that rwd with open diff was terrifying in snow, and it feels very slow in comparison to the Maverick.

I love cars and driving, and I'm very picky about what vehicles I spend time in. No boring cars. I have 6 cars, but I'm surprised how much I enjoy driving this little truck. Very fun! In their brief piece acknowledging the Maverick as one of the 10 Best, Car and Driver slipped in this tidbit below - "But Maverick is more fun to drive than it's platform mates..."

I love it, every single time I'm in it. I feel like I could drive anywhere in total comfort.

It's making me want to find off-road places to go (like 0 public ones around here)

Ive had mine for 2 weeks.

Love it so far.

Ride quality is great on roads but I have a feeling its going to suffer when warmer weather hits and I go on gravel and fire roads.

The MPG is much worse in the mornings, great in the afternoon and evenings.

two definite dislikes- automatic high beams and the gear knob on the floor. There is no logical reason for the gear dial to be so far out of the line of vision and I haven't learned how to deactivate the automatic high beams. (it took me all of 10secs to google the answer)

Blind spot area is horrible, but easily solved with a blind spot mirror add-on. It was the same on my Ranger.

Overall I'm totally happy with the truck.

Can I suggest adjusting your side view mirrors outwards so you have a side view?
An old timey truck driver taught me years ago to turn my side mirrors way out and adjust them so that as I pass a car or obstacle it's visible in the mirrors as soon as it passes the mirror all the way until I can see it in the rearview mirror.
Doing this made a huge difference for me, it doesn't eliminate shoulder checks but it sure makes it a lot easier to keep track of traffic around my vehicle.

ZZBUGS added this link a couple posts down that describes exactly how I set my mirrors up. A much better explanation than mine.

Dumb generic post, but I was driving around this weekend and thought "you know, I really do enjoy driving this truck".

I've had way "cooler" vehicles that were more performance/luxury oriented, but the Maverick handles/drives so well. Every time I hop in I'm content.

I was on the highway, backroads, and in stop/go traffic over a long trip today and not once got sick of being in the truck for an extended amount of time. There's a sweet spot with this truck that's hard to describe.

I also really enjoy the features of the Lariat package in my Tremor. The seats rock, plush but firm. The B&O sound system is great. It's cold AF out here in the northeast and the heated function in the seats/steering wheel do not disappoint. The AWD system has also rocked while the roads are slick.

Feeling grateful tonight I guess!
Hate it! Note; most of my complaints are cover most new cars but….
1. Transmission programing. I can’t stand the constant up shift down shift. It has to make a couple gear down shift for a 2mph increase. Then immediately goes back to the highest gear possible (Normal mode). Sport mode is fine if you’re really going for it. I want something in between.
2. seat feels like a children’s chair. I’m only 6’ 185lbs. Zero lateral support. Cushion is too short. Honey someone shrunk my seat.
3. the ā€œscreenā€. Probably the single dumbest thing ever created. It’s just a bigger display for a radio. One that makes it difficult to change stations and displays all of fords constant messages. Yet every one seems to love it? I want to rip it out and put a normal radio in that spot.
3. electronic ā€œsafetyā€ crap. Sorry folks I pay attention when I drive. I don’t need my dash freaking out (and scaring me to death) because of on oncoming car in it’s own lane (and me in mine). Or when I’m coming up to a completely normal stop with a car in front of me. Out of the 6-7 times it’s gone off maybe once I gave it a reason to.
4. Ride quality. smooth roads it’s great. Potholes speed bumps all the patch jobs. Sounds and feels like something isn’t screwed on very good. Feels very fragile and cheap.
5. After reading about all the different issues some of the other members are having. I’m seriously concerned about this vehicle making it to 100k. Without a major repair.
6. stupid shift nob. Just put some buttons on the dashšŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø. Wipers that you can’t lift in freezing weather. You can raise the back seat cushion but gain nothing because of the ā€œstorage boxā€ underneath. And the seat cushion is tick.
Like I said a lot of new cars are like this. I loved my 95 F-150. My 99 ranger. My 05 Titan. I’ve only hated my 99 jeep TJ and now this.

I feel your frustration on that rant. Apparently not for everyone. Did you not test drive it before investing? While I don't agree with your assessment, all 6 of those items are quite obvious from a test drive. Just curious.

Tow/haul mode is in-between.

I assume you're talking about the pre-collision alert here. Mine went off once and I turned the sensitivity down to low and have never had any safety warnings since.

Wipers that you can’t lift in freezing weather.
Sure you can.
