This is just a general thought I had.
I am in no way shape or form, saying that the OP did anything of the kind.
🤔I'm just wondering if the computer could sense. If an owner were to hook up say a car hauler with a car on it that would be about 5,000 lb or more?
Just a thought.😉
and I'm not in the shower🤣 ( some will get it most won't)
I get the shower bit.

3yr/36000mile bumper-to-bumper.

5yr/60000mile powertrain.

The transmission would fall under "powertrain"
the OP is not in the united states and his warranty is different, that's what initially led to this line of discussion.

I asked the service advisor at a different dealer to do that at the 45,000km service (~28,000 mi, services are every 15,000 km here, I do another engine oil and filter change between each dealer service) and they said it had lifetime fluid. I pointed out the manual has a timeline for transmission fluid changes with regular and severe use cases. They said they'd ask the techs, and said the techs said it was unnecessary so soon. Same story at 60,000km.

I guess in part I was waiting for this to happen eventually and prove them wrong, having bought the extended warranty and all.

I asked this service advisor to measure the fluid that drains from the transmission to see if it was underfilled from the factory.
Some service writers just don’t know or spewing BS. Case in point -
My old F250 in for oil change. He said rear end needs fluid change. I said I disagree. He countered again. I pointed out to him my truck has a single wheel Sterling rear end, and Ford manual says fluid good for life, provided no ingress of contamination. Only the dualie rear ends require fluid change at ~40,000 miles, per the mfr. He argue. I told him to pull up manual on his station PC, let’s check. Bingo, he turn red face. Asked him if he learn something new here. Told him do not touch that rear end. Think he got it.

So one must be prepared!

Yep, in the good ol' USA, for Mexico it's just 3 years / 60,000 km (~37,000 mi) bumper to bumper and no more, no extra for the powertrain.

Just reinforces my belief, having owned several Fords over five decades, never to own one past initial warranty coverage. Even if I'd purchased an extended warranty, it wouldn't be worth the hassle to me. The clock is ticking, as my 2022 Mav is at 31,000 miles now.

Don't hate me for this, but I'm actually leaning towards trying out the 2025 Santa Cruz. Oh, go ahead and hate on that. I'm cool with it. The main thing giving me second thoughts is that I'd get an SEL and lose a solid 60 HP. And I love my ecoboost's power (on the rare occasion I use it).

C'mon Ford! Stop me before it's too late. Show me your new electric small truck at one of this year's auto shows.
This is the 5th Ford that I’ve owned, but my first NEW Ford vehicle. I’ve had no problems with previous ones I’ve owned, so I bought the Maverick with full confidence in Ford. But after being a forum member here for a while and hearing about all of these engine failures, transmission failures, axle failures and recalls, I’m starting to think like you; maybe I should trade it in before the 5 year powertrain warranty expires.

likewise, I bought the Maverick because there was no reasonably price smaller electric truck on the market.

Never owned a Hyundai, but modern car buying seems to be an "out of the frying pan, into the fire" type of situation.

I could go pay double what a Maverick costs and still be hit with the same rattles and battery failures on an F-150 or Silverado. That's partly why I haven't sold my Maverick yet, but the EcoBoost transmission makes me worried.
Everything about a first-year model scares me and after being in the repair business for 40 years [dealer shop] you would think I would know better. When family and friends ask I tell them never by a new vehicle model, But when I saw the maverick I had to have one, what are you going to get for 35k nothing COOL, My 22 FX4 loaded with all the packages has been great, except for the radio problems it looks and runs great but retired now only have 13k on it, that's why for the first time in 55 years of driving I bought a extended warranty at granger for half price. What does the future hold for the Maverick?? Let's hope they corrected all the recalls and problems on the 2025, because am thinking about a Lobo, just want to see a few 25s on the road.

Same,I've had great reliability with dodge, still have 3, one is 52 years old,and the other 2 are 15 years old.when they discontinued the Dakota the maverick was my next choice. Lets see if it makes it 52 years! 😆

If you're referring to the Hyundai warranty, the power train was, and I believe still is, 10yrs/100K miles.
only to the first purchaser, it is not transferable. dodge/chrysler used to advertise and make a big deal of their 7y/70k or 10y/100k powertrain warranty and it was the same - first purchaser only.

which, considering manufacturers make the most money selling new vehicles and (comparatively) very little on anything else, this type of policy makes sense for them. but it hammers resale value especially for newer vehicles.

That is mostly correct. The only exception is if you purchase a Hyundai Certified Preowned (CPO) used vehicle from a Hyundai dealership. In that case you basically get all of the remaining new car warranty.
Limited warranty: 5 years /60,000 miles from the original new car sale
Powertrain warranty: 10 years/100,000 miles from the original in-service date
Roadside assistance: 10 years/unlimited miles from the original in-service date

I believe Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep also give the remainder of the factory warranty with their CPO program but I've never purchased a CDJR used vehicle so I'm not certain.

You only hear about the people having problems, not the thousands who aren't.

Like me, first year we had a strut replaced that was making a rattle sound. Otherwise coming on 2 years soon with no other issues.

Those having trans issues, what kind of driving are you doing? Stop and go traffic, mild highway mileage, mild off roading steep incline/declines?

For me, all of the above. The joys of living in the city and commuting to the countryside.
