Holy hell I thought I was deaf but I don't hardly ever push the B&O past 22. Morning commute is like 10 and coming home is like 15/16.

I wish tidal didn't have so much buffering for me. It does sound better but gets annoying trying to listen to songs that keep pausing. Had to stick to spotify.

Have you tried the volume normalizer in the apps? Might help with the inconsistencies

There is also a surround sound option, I wonder if that is not mapped well and is mixing “fake” surround terribly and unnecessarily, thus making some sources seem very quiet, maybe the way the system is decoding whatever encoding that streaming service tends to use?

I think YouTube has lower quality that spotify. Really spotify is okay for me but tidal is wayyy better.

Circling back to this- After a week or so of messing with the B/O stereo- I think the speaker I thought was blown just reverberates at certain bass level and the grill/door panel buzz a little- Annoying but not life changing -

You/Tube music content volume output by song varies so much its ridiculous even set on Max quality- Some songs just rocking at 26 on volume knob- Some at 26 are barely anything- Not the greatest but ok- Cheers- Back speakers do suck :)

You can upgrade those speakers for practically no money, on your way to sound deadning and modifying your interior. So as you can get the acoustics a fair bit better for your listening pleasure.

Not surprising, the BO speakers they put in the mav are budget oriented and are mid/low end paper trash, just pushed by a bit more power than stock. Look at the videos on youtube about them. They will be fine for most people but anyone actually pushing them will need upgrades.

Youtube music is just an added bonus from Youtube Premium subscription. But since it's there, I use it as well. As for the B&O speakers, I also experience some occasional blaptt blaptt sounds on the fronts from certain music, and thought they were blown as well.

But first, I'll be looking into replacing the rear speakers because they sound hollow to me. Leaning towards something that provides better sound quality on the low end, as to not make the occasional rear passenger's ears bleed from the mid and high ranges. Any audiophiles care to chime in on a certain brand and model?
