In my '22 ecoboost it is accurate enough for that, that you see at which speeds it engages or disengages, and it shows you a bar showing the amount of power being sent to front or back in real time.
Can confirm my '22 ecoboost AWD developed the thunk around 60,000 km / 37,000 miles, replacing the rear diff fluid removed the thunk entirely and it's been going well for 20,000 km / 12,000 miles.
I'm starting to think that the RDU fluid lasts longer in hot weather, as winter temps never drop...
I'm Mexican, so there's no top tier gas to speak of. Engine wise, my mav has been happy with gas from the seediest middle-of-nowhere gas stations to the fanciest ones in affluent neighborhoods.
After decades of driving in my mile-high city in American and Japanese vehicles that run reliably...
It was in the normal range, I can't quite remember precisely as I didn't think to look at it but it wasn't in the red. I doubt it wouid be a similar problem as it still wouldn't explain the engine running normally in park and neutral, but boghing down as soon as I shifted to drive.
Make sure to change the fluids in your transmission, PTU and RDU every 30,000 miles at most, especially if yours is not an FX4 with the transmission cooler, since we don't have a dipstick to check if it is burned. As far as the techs could tell, my transmission failed because of prematurely...
I didn't take it to the dealership. I know they would say they can't do anything as the truck isn't having the issue right now and I don't know how to make it happen, I know it from the nightmare it was to get my factory defective flooded-cell battery replaced with the AGM and when I had the...
I drive with auto stop-start activated, but it was not triggering due to tbe stop and go traffic. For the flooded engine, not the answer as the engine ran fine in park and neutral and would only lug in drive.
It is perfectly normal for the battery to drop to 12.7v a few minutes after shutdown. A battery disconnected from everything and freshly charged might hold 13.0 or higher for a while, but with the battery being plugged in and being discharged, albeit slowly, will quickly drop the extra surface...
I highly doubt it's an electrical issue as the engine fired up 4 times in quick succession with the starter running at full speed, and the battery is at 12.7v right now that it is parked.
Today my '22 ecoboost stalled out of nowhere in the middle of traffic after releasing the brake. I got a message on the dashboard to shift into park to be able to start the enginge again. I noticed that when I shifted into drive, the engine would lug and stall over the course of about 4 seconds...
2022 ecoboost AWD Lariat non FX4, 40k miles on the stock Michelin Primacys. Still had about 1/3 of the thread life but accumulated so many punctures through their life from farm roads they could no longer be patched 😅
As someone who had their transmission fail, there where occasionally clunks going from drive to reverse when the truck was brand new and after the dealership installed the new transmission. The clunks where totally absent when the tranny failed :)
I wouldn't worry about it, just remember to...
If it comes back, maybe check the front suspension rubber bushings, perhaps the ones between the frame and the subframe? I can't clearly identify your particular squeaks, but my '22 truck developed a nasty squeaking when braking and when turning the wheel while parked after the dealership had...
My '22 ecoboost AWD will send power to the rear wheels at any speed in normal mode whenever I'm accelerating fast, say pressing the throtle halfway in or more, according to the "intelligent AWD" screen in my instrument cluster. In fact, when flooring the gas it will show a little bit more power...
