  6. What good is a cabin air filter

Agreed! And god forbid you roll the window down when driving 😆. I was going to throw mine out and not replace it but apparently new cars need it to filter the air going to the heater blower motor? Seems like a money grab. Guess the blower motors on new vehicles are not as good as the ones we...
  7. Who still has their Maverick purchased new?

Happy fourth! The reason i never rotate tires....is because i never see a reason to. All 4 tires have the same tread and wear patterns. If i had a vehicle with a worn or faulty suspension and saw tires wearing un- evenly i would rotate, but that has not been the case in 50 years of driving. I...
  8. How much should the battery lose when parked?

That seems excessive, our ram sits for 3 weeks sometimes and the battery is fine. I have an antique that routinely sits over a month and the battery is fine. Our maverick has sat maybe a week without use, But the battery is fine.
  9. New Battery Every 2 Years?

Interesting. Our mav is 4 years old and the factory battery is fine. Just replaced the battery on my ram, it was 9 years old. Sounds like there is something draining it.
  10. Rust on roof bordering windshield

Wow! This is on a vehicle a cpl years old? Was it damaged from a rock or something and never adressed?

The most american made vehicle in the United states is.....a Honda!
  12. Drop in vs Spray in bedliner suggestions.

I have a 17 year old ram that I put a drop in bedliner in when new. No topper. If you lift up the liner the bed almost looks new. Easier to slide items in place when loading to secure, and, if you sell said vehicle you can remove the topper and resell it. Thats why I went with a drop in with our...

Everyone is different troy.i did my first and subsequent oil change on our 23 mav at 5k, as per factory recommendation. Will be doing the trans fluid change at 100k, as per factory recommendation. Do what makes you feel good! Just under 50k trouble free miles so far.

Over 3 years here! Hoping to get 15 years out of our mav!
  16. Best Octane for your EB

Maybe, but doubt I'd notice or need the extra 5- 10 hp. Maybe if regularly drag raced it.
  17. Best Octane for your EB

The manual says to use 91 if detonation noticed when towing.none noticed so no need to waste my hard earned money.
  18. Best Octane for your EB

I've used nothing but 87 in over 3 years we have owned our mav. And we tow a 3000 lb boat.
  19. $22 for a 10 or 12 oz can of something Ford wanted me to use.

Lol, no iam a boomer, guess we do things different. I blew my filters out with compressed air, good to go. I never rotate tires. All 4 always look the same so I think thats a waste of money. All ive done to our mav so far is 5k oil changes. It has 46k on it. No issues.
  20. $22 for a 10 or 12 oz can of something Ford wanted me to use.

My wife has the truck but as far as I remember no major service until 100k miles, unless severe service.
