I got the Lariat with the lux pkg w/o the sun roof. My wife liked the interior of the Lariat w/lux pkg. She let me pick the color(velocity Blue). I wanted the hybrid version because of the MPG. I sold my Jeep Maverick to Carvana. Got a good price. It covered almost half the cost of the Maverick. Finally, the reason I went with the Lariat w/Lux pkg is because I'm retired and this will probably be my last car/truck that I will buy and I felt I was leaving my kids enough money when I go and I should spend some of it.

I prefer the Lariat. Silver vs black grill bar. Painted mirror caps and door handles. Didn’t want cloth seats. Dual zone ac. Soundshield windshield, intelligent access, wheels. Upgraded lights. Those are all thinks I wanted and right off the lot. Not later or not at all.

Lariat. No choice here. Had to have push button start and reverse sensing.
I have had leather and/or Active X in too many cars to go back to cloth.
Features and comfort more important to me.

Did not like the orange at all. The bronze looks more ‘rich’ to me. And the ‘countertop’ parts are more muted on the Lariat.

There are things on the Lariat that I did not need, but they came with Lux.

On my lariat when I grab driver door handle only the driver door unlocks. Grabbing front passenger door would unlock all doors. Is this the limitation of the smart access feature or did I miss something in menus/settings?

Reprogramming the Unlocking Function
You can enable two-stage unlocking function allowing you to unlock only the driver door when you touch the unlock sensor. Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote control for four seconds to disable or enable two-stage unlocking.

My wife and I test drove an XLT and liked it very much although there were several features that we both felt that we needed to get close to the Bronco Sport Outer Banks that we currently own. Sat down with our salesman and the new car manager to see how we could get what we wanted. Sales manger told us that the XLT was the sweet spot for orders and it wouldn't last long. When we were done, it came out as a Lariat Lux and that's what we ordered. Now we wait for it to be built and since it probably will roll over to MY23, we might have a while to wait. Interestingly enough, once we decided the Lariat Lux was what we wanted we gave the keys to the XLT back to the salesman and he handed them to the guy standing around waiting for us to finish and he bought it immediately.

I went with the XLT and am very happy with it. I have the LUX and 360 packages, SIBL, EB FWD with tow and moon roof. Push button start and better audio would be nice but not a deal breaker. I can add a few mods and dress it up as I roll along.

XLT with only FX4 added here. It's a great truck and I don't feel like I need the lux, CP360 or lariat. To me the extras are nice but don't add anything to the function of the vehicle. Don't need ACC because the roads I daily drive on never have traffic and while push button start is nice, I can live without it. I got aftermarket floor liners and getting a SIBL from Line X in a week. Lariat is definitely nice but if you are coming from a vehicle that doesn't have the bells and whistles you definitely won't be disappointed with the XLT.

Shame on you... Think of those poor drivers out there that can't find a Maverick and had to settle on purchasing a Santa Cruz.. the tragedy. You have two and they have to suffer.... Lol, actually, I think that's kinda cool. These trucks are so versatile and designed well.

No desire to ever have vinyl seats again for me. XLT it is.

Yes, here is a video I saw on programming the unlock from the drivers screen. Looks pretty easy. Unlocking all doors makes more sense unless you worry someone will jump in the passenger seat just as you unlock. If they want in that bad I don't think either setting will matter.

Here's my take. Only thing I didn't find worth it is the B&O system I ended up swapping out all 4 speakers and subwoofer, and contemplating doing the same with the tweeters/center.

That being said, the ACC, acoustic windshield, keyless entry, sync-3, push button start, signature DRLs, and dual zone climate were well worth the price. The Active-X seats are a personal preference, but I like them. Nice and comfy on the tush for those long drives, and easy to clean.

Also, the 1 touch windows are so convenient. I never realized how nice it was to not have to hold the button to roll the windows up/down. One touch and both hands are back on the wheel driving safely.
