As much exes get blamed they can magically make chips. Their chip plants burnt to the ground...Its taken long time for them rebuild that and find the materials to make the chip again.
Well, if a company that depends on chips cancels their supply then blames they lack chips...it is an excuse.

Mud flaps are still constrained? The only time my dealer contacted me about my order, he said I should omit the mud flaps, so I agreed. Then, when my truck arrived, there they were. It’s a minor item, but I was happy the dealer lied to me about that. Not happy about all the other lies though.
mud flaps are constraint?? That's something you can get easily in aftermarket cant you? Things like that I would buy from a 3rd party I would not want my truck built date to be held up by mudflaps..... Since everything on your order must be present unless you change your order..... Yea.. things like that i would use 3rd party for .

Rant alert. Stating Fords production numbers vs. it’s competitors is IRRELEVANT.

Ford markets it’s own brand. They oversold vehicles that they couldn’t produce. Why is that so hard to understand?

Lets say you order a pizza and the restaurant says you must pay $10 for your order. Then when it comes time to pick up your pie you are told the oven broke, the cashier called in sick, the cheese was never delivered and so on. We appreciate your order and stay tuned for further details.
The proper response would have been….”.we currently can’t make your pie” . We can start producing pizza’s in xxxx

Thats fair they should never added lux in the first place or just made it lariat trim and maybe that would of helped a little bit.... I was lucky to even get 360 to be honest.

I would argue that it is very different. Ford doesn't get your deposit the dealership does. So in your situation you didn't pay for the pizza beforehand which I haven't experienced other than one mom and pop pizza place I know.

I think the part that people forget is that for Ford to keep the price competitive on the maverick they need to do just in time inventory and such. There are many chips and other components they could definitely buy right now but not at prices that would allow them to sell the maverick at the prices they advertised.

Ford definitely struggled with customer communication, and they need to figure that out if they look to become a majority direct order company. But the supply constraints are not something they can just magically fix. Expecting Ford to have all the parts for your maverick in reserve when you order would mean you would probably have to pay for the vehicle in full up front and would substantially increase the cost to produce the vehicle.

When I ordered, there were no constraints. They hadn’t started building yet.

You give him more benefit than I do. When MY23 orders open up next month do you think dealers are going to tell people, "You can place an order but you probably won't see the truck for over a year."

🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think the guy is pretty good but did exaggerate. I kinda know him now as I've been stopping in every damn week or so for almost a year. On my lunch break, it's close to work. But, in the end, you're right. He's a car salesman.

I'm sure they aren't all scheduled but in the scheduling threads I have seen so many. I really believe Ford is prioritizing Lariats with both the Lux and CP360.
You are basing your whole argument on what you have seen being posted by owners that are participating in all the forums and communities. Unless you have documents showing the production numbers on all the different configurations, you are just speculating.

There are currently 16,268 registered members of this forum, and about the same number of subscribers on the FordMaverickTruck subreddit(currently 16,482). I'm sure there is a pretty large overlap of people that are members of both communities, but for the sake of the argument, let's say they are all unique members. That is roughly 32k people, and to further my point, even if you were to say that each one of those people had a produced truck, according to recent posts, that leaves about 50k produced trucks since the beginning of production unaccounted for.

So you saying that Ford is discriminating against XLT luxury packages, is a baseless claim.

I think the more accurate conclusion from your observations would be that the lariat luxury package is the most popular configuration among users of forums and communities like this one.

So what you're all saying is my 22 EB XLT LUX CP360 FX4 that was built July 4th is a rare piece? Neat edit: ordered November 9th

Counterpoint:

I ordered a Hybrid XLT Lux in mid-September. Another forum member ordered a Hybrid Lariat Lux from the same dealer on the same day. His truck was scheduled over a month ago. Mine, to the best of my knowledge, has not.

Lariats are more profitable for Ford. When faced with where to deploy the common components, of course they're going to built the Lariat first.

Do I like this? No.
Do I understand it? Unfortunately, yes.

This is my point. I repeatedly see Lariats with BOTH Luxury and CP360 packages scheduled while XLTs with Luxury package remain unscheduled.

I think we all understand why it's happening. It would just be nice if Ford admitted it. Yes, I chose NOT to remove the luxury package from my order, despite warnings I'd be likely to be pushed to MY23 because I WANT the LUX features.

That said, I will be taking a different approach for MY23. Already been talking to my dealer about having heated seats and remote start installed aftermarket and skipping the luxury package in hopes of being scheduled more quickly.

Did you switch yours to DIBL or keep the SIBL?

I have an XLT Lux-FX4 with a DIBL on order from the first week in January. From all indications not going to get built. I will have to resubmit a new order in September. If I order a lariat model without the luxury package am I more likely to get a truck built moving forward?
