XLT Luxury Package No Longer Available?

I read the news about the Maverick this morning. After playing with the online configurator for 2 months I figured I better actually order a Maverick now if I want any chance of having one within the next 8 months. I just went to the local dealership and as we were configuring my build we realized there was no option to add the XLT Luxury package. I'm really hoping this just a temporary glitch on the website and it's not permanently gone until the books close later this week.

Just found about deadline today. Went to configurator and found the Luxury package gone today too. Guess that ends getting one this model year. Personally I wish they kept the luxury package but dropped the drop in bed liner with an adjusted price.

That would certainly have been preferable since at the least the bed liner can be easily added after the fact.

I wouldn't rely on the website Build & Price tool. Whether the dealer can submit the order in WBDO is the real litmus test.

The salesman just kept checking Ford's website. At first he tried to tell me there was no such thing as the the XLT Luxury package. I don't know if he really believed that or was just telling me that but either way I got frustrated and left. Maybe I'll try another dealership tomorrow.

I’d definitely go talk to another dealer. There was a glitch on the website for the last couple of days where the Lux package was showing up as free, so they could be working on fixing that. There have been several different glitches with the online configurator since the Maverick was released so I wouldn’t completely rely on it.

I'll second that....IF you have the option to go to another dealer or two ASAP I'd give that a try. Before I decided to go with Granger (I'd previously dealt with them when I was going to buy a Bronco), I got varying and inconsistent information from a number of local dealers.

I am a Ford retiree. I just went on the Ford build a Maverick order sheet. The Luxury Package is no longer on the option list. I have already ordered mine with the option so I will be calling my dealership to see what is going on.

Just found this forum. I'd been playing with options for a few months and noticed the Luxury Package glitch. Went to the dealership that night and put in my XLT order with the Luxury Package. because I was afraid it might be going away. Dealership did it on their end. Everything was fine and I was done in 20 minutes.

Ford is no longer taking orders for Mavericks as of January 27,2022. If you plan on getting one better do it now or be waiting until summer for the 2023 models to be ordered and if anything like the wait we have been experiencing you may not see it for 7 months after that. My calculations put it almost 11 months from now. Do you want a Lux package more than you want a truck
Other option might be to buy one from an order that was cancelled but you know the dealer is going to make you pay dearly.
Just my opinion, my wait is almost over, my XLT should be arriving within the week via rail.

This could be a glitch, or it could be that the XL/XLT Luxury package is really no longer available.

Ford is closing down orders on Thursday. It may be that they are looking at the materials they have in the pipeline and cutting off availability for packages that they don't have the supplies for.

At this point, they could be saying, "Let's just take orders for what we know we can build."

The 4K towing and AWD option is now going from the Build website. This is on the Lariat model.

This is similar to the spray-in bed liner no longer being offered on the Lariat. This supply chain crap sucks.
